Hi. My name is Nicole. I am an English as a Second Language teacher and I have been hosting International students for eight years.
My favorite thing is getting to know people from around the world but Americans are also welcome : ))
I have a cat. I hope you are not allergic.
You will have full use of the kitchen, be able to prepare your meals the way you like them and maybe teach me a little about your cuisine and culture. There's also a lovely garden for you to enjoy and the house is nice and clean.

About the Area

I live in the heart of Historic Germantown, a vibrant, ethnically diverse, up and coming neighborhood. We boast of a mile of some of the most historically significant buildings in the US. Gemantown is called "Freedom's Backyard" for good reason. During the summers of 1793 and 1794, to escape the Yellow Fever Epidemic raging in the center of Philadelphia, President George Washington lived and even conducted cabinet meetings, right around the corner from my house! The Mansion where the BATTLE OF GERMANTOWN took place is 5 minutes up Germantown Avenue as is The Johnson House, Philadelphia’s only accessible and intact stop on the UNDERGROUND RAILROAD.
For SCENIC BEAUTY Lincoln Drive and Wissahickon Valley Park are unmatched and also 5 - 10 minutes away. You can borrow my bike!

English as a Second Language Programs nearby:
Kaplan International, La Salle, Temple University, Jefferson (Phila) University, Chestnut Hill College (FLS) the Community College of Philadelphia are all a half an hour or less from my home.
Drexel University Medical Campus is ten minutes down the street on foot.
