Please note: For the convenience and safety of all concerned a background security check is required and must be completed 5 - 7 days prior to arrival. I prefer students or others relocating to the area requiring temporary housing while attending classes or working locally. I do not offer lodging to local residents in transition.
Two available bedrooms with private baths in a single family home located in the Deerfield development in Plano Texas. Continental breakfast and use of kitchen and laundry facilities included. Nearby shopping malls, churches, recreation centers, schools, restaurants, community colleges, grocery stores and banks within walking distance. I also provide free transportation to local grocery stores once a week upon request.
This is a quiet neighborhood with 24 hour security patrols and surveillance, a private park and clubhouse with walking and biking trails throughout the surrounding area. Access to transportation is available via bus, Uber and train.
I am an empty nester with three adult children. My daughter is a PHD who lives and works in Japan. My youngest son is an Officer in the US Army stationed in Fort Hood Texas. My oldest son and his family live in nearby McKinney, Texas. I have an online business and work from home. I attend a nearby Christian church, maintain a clean organized non-smoking household and enjoy the company of friends and family.
Let me know of any special dietary restrictions or transportation requirements you may have in advance of your stay and I will make every effort to accommodate them whenever possible.

About the Area
We live in Deerfield a community of homes located in Northwest Plano, a suburb north of Dallas, Texas. A few short minutes from the corporate campuses of HP, Enterprise, Frito Lay, J.C. Penney, Sterling Software, Countrywide, Beal Bank, Ericsson, Computer Associates, McAfee, Intuit, Dr Pepper, SMU, Toyota, North America, Federal Express and Liberty Mutual and more.
There are nearby shopping malls, churches, recreation centers, schools, restaurants, grocery stores and banks within walking distance.

House Rules
SECURITY: All guests are subject to a background check, credit card confirmation and passport and visa validation. This process which requires 5 to 7 days and must be completed prior to the guest's arrival date. License numbers for guest vehicles must be registered with the 24 hour Security Patrol in order to park on the streets. No overnight visitors are permitted to stay with guests and all visitors must leave before 10:00 PM. Out of consideration for others, guests should avoid returning home after midnight and notify host in advance of anticipated late night arrivals or overnight stays away from the home.
Additionally, guests must be considerate and respectful of other's privacy and security. Drinking is permitted, however, excessive alcohol consumption and the use of recreational drugs are not permitted.
HOUSEKEEPING: A $50 security deposit is required in advance of the stay. Guests are responsible for any damages incurred or extraordinary cleaning required at the end of their stay. (Please note: I have had only one guest in 5 years that did not receive a full refund of their deposit.) Guests should inspect their room upon arrival and notify host of any damages or other concerns.
Guests must maintain their room in clean and orderly condition. While eating and drinking is permitted in guest rooms it is not encouraged. Meals should be consumed in the kitchen, or outdoor dining areas. Rooms will be vacuumed and dusted by host once a week. Guests are responsible for cleaning their own bathrooms, cleaning supplies will be provided by host. Guests may use the clothes washer and dryer once each weekend. Guests are responsible for washing their bed linens and towels and purchasing their own laundry detergents. Iron and ironing board will be provided by host.
KITCHEN USE: A fully equipped kitchen is available to guests. Guests using the kitchen are required to clean-up after themselves. All dishes and cooking utensils must be hand washed and left in sink. Host will load and unload dishwasher. Guests will have Individual shelf space in refrigerator and kitchen cabinets. Guests are welcome to use host’s cooking seasonings and condiments.
OPTIONAL MEALS: For guests requesting meals, a breakfast sandwich, fruit juice and or milk will be available from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Guests must inform host of any food allergies, restrictions or preferences.
GENERAL HOUSE RULES: Treat my home and property as you would your own. While guests generally will have the “run of the house” guests MAY NOT enter the bedrooms of other’s without their permission. In addition to their individual bedrooms and private baths there is a second floor game room available to guests for watching television, working and relaxing. (TV’s must NOT be left on all night).
Each guest determines how much privacy vs. socializing is desirable during their stay. Some guests come home and go to their rooms not to be seen or heard from until the next day. Others stop to chat or prefer not to eat dinner alone. Some may want to get together and go out to dinner or a movie. Your choice.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
