The space
"Casa De Los Gatos"
When you arrive you will feel as though you have come to a tranquil Bali retreat. Tropical landscaping, fountains, Balinese mahogany gates and doors reflect our love for the islands. This is "our temple."
Be our guests and enjoy:
* Private bedroom upstairs with view looking through giant bamboo and the sound of a water fountain.

Downstairs are all common areas; kitchen, dining room, living room and laundry room with washer and dryer. Wonderful outside deck has palapas and hot tub. Enjoy the view of the stars and Mexico's city lights in the distance at night. We are located on a private drive, on a large rural canyon. You will drop out of the neighborhood and magically be "in the country" yet still close to everything.
Our garage is stocked with fun things including:
* Boogie boards
* Tennis rackets
* Golf clubs
* Beach chairs and a beach umbrella.

About us. We are not morning folk. If you are up and out before 9:30 am, you won't see our smiling faces in the morning. We both have home businesses and keep our own hours. We are here if you need us, but we will leave you be ;) A typical evening for us is maybe a hot tub dip around 8:30pm and dinner at 9:30pm watching a movie on our projection screen TV in the living room. If you feel like a movie... join us!

*Target Express walking distance from our house with groceries, pharmacy and a great supply things.
*Hillcrest is 3 miles away. Pride is everyday in Hillcrest. Fabulous shopping and dining. Nightlife is always happening ;)

We are walking distance to the above mentioned neighborhood jewels. There are rent-a-bikes available (walking distance) along with nearby bus stops. Now that we have Uber and Lyft... the city is yours.

Other things to note
Other neighborhood parking can be a nightmare. We are lucky to never have to worry about parking near the house at night or street cleaning signs and parking tickets! We have a private drive on the canyon with only 2 other houses on our street. Peaceful.

#1 House rule: Do not let our indoor cats outside.
Front and back doors need to closed behind you and never left open. We have 3 friendly cats, Sumba, Thai & Ouija that roam the house and upstairs patio. You can shut your bedroom door if you would rather not have a visit. They are well behaved, but honestly, if cats bother you... this is not the house for you.
#2 You have a key, come and go as you like. Lock up and turn lights off when you come and go.
#3 Sorry, no kids.
#4 Shoes off inside the front door- if you don't mind. We prefer rubber thongs or socks on our wood floors :) We live in a rural setting... leaves and stuff tracks in with our shoes.
#5 Relax. Have fun.
**Pet Peeves:
1. If you go outside to smoke, PLEASE take your cigarette butts away with you. We have found them in our garden and landscaping. Not cool.
2. Accidents happen. If something gets broken or spills- please tell us ASAP, we will take care of it... NO big deal. For example, we have removed our duvet cover before to find a wine stain...that we could of cleaned if we knew right away. We promise you wont get a time out ;)

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
