About the Homestay
We live in a quiet, friendly cul-de-sac. We are close to the bus line and shopping. Our home is an older home, but is very comfortable. We have a back yard that overlooks a canyon. Our guests are welcome to sit out there as often as they like. I have to say that it's not green out there anymore due to the drought that Southern California is experiencing.
As of 11/26/16 we've had 75 exchange students from Japan, Italy, Switzerland, Brazil, China, South Korea, France, Canada, Taiwan, Mexico & a couple from the USA.
The beach is 5 miles (8 km) from home. We have 2 shopping malls close by (one on each side of us). Downtown is 10 miles (16 km). We have a nice mall downtown with the Gaslamp Quarters, with lots of nice restaurants just down the street.

Incredible. Perfect. Amazing. So good, too good.
In my opinion, Tracy and Paul deserves more than 5 hearts. I was solo traveling around California and am beyond grateful to be able to stay in their apartment during my stay in San Diego. I absolutely loved San Diego because of them. They are wonderful human beings - helpful, kind, caring, funny, beautiful people. I will definitely be back in San Diego one day, and I will definitely stay with Tracy and Paul again. This place is truly a gem, and they too are truly gems that are hard to find.
Miss and love you guys, Tracy and Paul!
Couldn't find a nicer family to stay with! Beautiful people who do what they can to make your time in the area as wonderful as possible.
This guest awarded the host 5 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
I stayed with Tracy and Pual for 2 months and it was a really enjoyable stay. I had a deep impression on first day when I met Tracy. She gave me a hug as we knew each other for a long time and picked me up to her home. They are really funny people and took really great care of me. And always they make everything well organized in their home. Her place is great and spacious. They are generous and kind, I wish you all the best with your future endeavors and hope to see you again Tracy and Pual. Hugs!!!!
It was a lot of fun staying in Tracy and Paul’s house!
They always made me feel welcomed, warm and thoughtful.
Tracy is like my mom and Paul is like my brother in the States.
I really recommend you to stay with them! I had a wonderful memory.
Tracy and her son Paul are superior hosts. They went out of their way on multiple occasions to ensure I experienced everything that the area had to offer, often going above and beyond. I loved meeting these kindhearted and generous people, whom I now consider friends!
I enjoyed my stay with Tracy and Paul and I echo the positive sentiments of the other reviews.
The stay at Tracy's and Paul's house was one of my best experiences with respect to all kinds of accommodations.
Their support and kindness was much more than I expected. I definitely recommend staying at their location whenever you need an accommodation in San Diego.
The period I was in Tracy and Paul's house was amazing. They are fantastic!!! I don´t know the best way to express all my gratitute for what they have done for me during the time that I stayed in their house. I think that the best word to do it is: Thank you ever so much!!! I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to meet special people as they. Tracy is my Mother and Paul my Brother in the USA. For those who are coming to spend time with them, I can only say one thing: they are more than terrific!!! Tracy and Paul thank you for all the attention and contribution with my English learning. Thank you a million!!!! All the best. Fábio
