About the Homestay
I am a single mother of two teenage girls, my oldest is off at University and my mother lives with us on the ground floor. Our family lives in a 4 bedroom house in Secaucus, NJ close to Manhattan and mass transportation, 3 minutes from NY city. We have a dog, two cats, and two birds. Our town is a suburb with a city close by as a matter of fact you can see the New York Skyline from outside our front door. Thea was a wonderful host and her family was so welcoming and understanding especially when we had a lot of transport delays. The location was cosy and comfortable and perfect for sightseeing, only minutes by bus into centre of NYC! Thanks Thea and family for a lovely stay and we wish you all the best!
Thea is kind, energetic and perfect host. She helped us with things that we couldn’t figure out, or have struggle with(like transportation...)We stayed with her 40 days that I can say excellent. We will definitely stay with her in the future. House condition and location(including transport to New York) was good too. Thanks for everything We had great time.
Great and beautiful family, I feel like my home.
Her home is clean and comfortable! Her family is very nice. They offer helpful tips and definitely watch out for you. It's close enough to New York that you can commute everyday (which was what I did) with pretty much zero stress. It's a $3.50 ride to Time Square. Would definitely recommend.
Thea and her family have made me very welcome in their home which has made my stay in New York so much more enjoyable.
Thea and her family was awesome!!!!! They made me feel like I was at home . The home was nice and clean fresh towels and water bottles and great hospitality!!!!! I plan to stay again when I visit my daughter in Manhattan. The town was clean and friendly awesome !!!! I would give the 10 stars !!!!
emmm...Actually we didnt spend many time in the house. We like your house and we accept all rules from you. But sonetimes we will think maybe we arent fool, anything you speak one time, its enough. But I understand you worried that we cant accept well so you say one time , two times, three times even more.anyway, its good. And hope you guys everyday happy.
Thea and her beautiful family are remarkably kind, and hospitable. This was the first time ever doing Homestay, which my Host made a very welcoming experience. To encounter such kindness is very refreshing. The area is quiet and safe. The NJ Transit is a short walk away and operates regularly. There is a small shopping center close by to purchase groceries and personal items. You will truly be pleased with this family.
Yes I went there....it was good experience...In the morning she dropped me at the train station by her car... I am really thankful to her for that....We had a very good conversation and I liked her goodness.....I will thank her once again for hosting me for that night at her home....
