Étant mon premier voyage en Asie et au Vietnam j’ai beaucoup apprécié l’aise offerte par Thong pour mon visa, mon grab de l’aéroport jusqu’à sa maison et celui de sa maison a l’autobus! Il m’a meme bouqué mon siège dans l’autobus en direction de DaLat qui était un peu difficile pour moi considérant les différentes options offertes.

Leur demeure est dans un cartier très proche du centre-ville, cela m’a coûté que 1-2$ par trajet et j’ai adorée marcher dans les rues de son quartier qui longe la rivière et qui sont remplies de resto, boutique et petits commerces!

Je retournerai définitivement chez Thong!

Thong was a fantastic host who was generous with his time, information, and resources at the house. The location was good and easy to access via public transportation, and the room was cozy and clean. I enjoyed talking to Thong and hearing about his life in Ho Chi Minh City. Thong's mother cooked and served a delicious dinner for us one night, and even though I wasn't able to communicate with her fully, I felt so much love and understanding from his mother the very first time I met her! I would recommend Thong's place to anyone looking for an authentic, entertaining, and welcoming stay in Ho Chi Minh.

Traveling with my 18 year old daughter. Our first homestay. Definitely different than a typical AirBnb where you meet the owner at check-in and get your key and then don't see him or her until checkout. Here you are staying in a home owned and lived in by Thong with his parents living there as well. Even though your bathroom is supposedly yours, you will be sharing it. Had a little hiccup at arrival as our room was not available as the guests scheduled to checkout were still not back from their tour. Didn't get access to a room until 7pm and it was not the room originally booked and thus had to switch the next day. Still, one has to expect this type of thing, especially in SE Asia where life is more laid back and times and rules seem to be more of a guideline and not hard-fast :). This is a local non-tourist area. Great opportunity to experience a real local Vietnamese neighborhood. As such the prices everywhere are cheap as the only foreigners you are likely to see in that area are those staying at Thong's. Thong's mom is the sweetest and always trying to feed you. Overall a wonderful stay and recommended!

Thong is the best homestay host you could ask for. He's super helpful, super laid-back, and will go above and beyond to help you if you need it. (I witnessed this when two of his guests had their passports stolen. He deserves a medal.) His home is in a good location for visiting the central sight-seeing district, and it's meters away from local food carts and small restaurants. He was happy for me to use his fridge, and he showed me how to make morning coffee on his stove. One note: bring your earplugs. Noise travels easily through the windows and walls, and one of the neighbors has a rooster.
