About the Area

We live in a typical Vietnamese house, in a typical family neighborhood, on a typical pedestrian street.

Our newly built house has five floors. We rent two private rooms. Each room offers a comfortable queen size bed, a private bathroom, air-conditionning, fan, tv, wifi, large window and glass door to let in natural light (with good curtains if you wish to be in the dark!), and a small balcony overlooking streetlife. Each room can accomodate 2 persons.

You are welcome to use our kitchen or whatever facility our house offers. Many of our previous guests really enjoyed the 360 view offered from our roof top terrace at sunrise, sundown, or to see the city lights in the evening.

We live in district 8, just on the other side of the bridge that brings you in district 1 where most tourists attractions are and in district 5, Cholon, the famous Chinese neighborhood, and district 4 along the river going to Saigon river opposite district 1. From another the bridge reach Phu My Hung distric 7 such as new city with restaurant and shopping small exhibition event. we are living on the island.

During the day, you can take bus 152 and in less than 10 minutes, it will drop you at the Ben Thanh market or directly at the Ben Thanh bus station, near the Reunification Palace or the War museum,... from there you can walk any where in district 1. If you keep going on that same bus, you can even reach the airport in about 50 minutes just cost 5000 vnd ( 25 cents )

It is also possible to walk over the bridge for about 1,5 km and catch bus number 1 at any time. It can bring you downtown quickly to Le Loi street near the Opera, the famous hotels, major shopping streets or going the other way, to the famous market in Cholon and the Cholon bus station. Bus number 1 from 6am to 8 :30 pm Saigon Cho Lon ( downtown to China town )

District 8 is a living district. Tourists are a rare sight. On the way to my house you will be on typical commercial street with lots of traffic, restaurants, streetfood ... You will then turn on a typical small alley that will lead you to my house. That type of pedestrian alleys form mazes between major streets in HCMC. Most people live in those mazes of alleys and you will be living on one!

Much quieter then the major streets, no cars can enter! The sound of traffic from major streets becomes distant and you can now hear the sound of people living, talking, playing. Of course, the occasionnal moto has to make its way to the major street.

You will see people walking, kids playing in front of their house, families watching tv in their living room, families with little stalls in front of their house, or a little store in their living room...

A few meters from my house, you can have nice Vietnamese coffee. Within a few minutes, you will find a nice local typical market with food stalls, clothings, food market, grocery shopping...

We want your homestay at our house to be Home Away from Home for all travellers: solo, couples and families.

If this is the type of traveling you might enjoy, do not hesitate to write to me. E

We stayed at Linh’s homestay for Tet (Vietnamese lunar new year). Linh and her family were so welcoming and friendly. In particular, Linh’s mum is a fantastic cook and a very warm person. As an unexpected treat, Linh gave us access to a pool in a beautiful apartment block near the city centre. Our bedroom was also very comfortable. Would highly recommend this homestay!

This guesthouse and the family were really the best ( I frequented HCM already 3 times) it is the combination of the situation of the house , the comfort and most of all the warm hospitality..... we stayed for 3 nights. It is a very quiet and secure neighborhood, close to the different attractions in the city.

Lonh had been a wonderful host. I could not have expected a better experience.
Her place is welcoming, bed comfortable, with an in suit bathroom. All her family have been so nice.
She took time to show me around, and recommend the best experience. I lived the "real" Saigon life for few days as the neighbourhood is also really typical.
Im so thankful for amazing stay!!!

very nice, friendly family, nice, clean rooms and an awesome terrace. it's located in a non-touristic district in a small and quiet street. there is a lot of street food and a local market in the area. You should also try a coffee in the garden cafe number one next door.
Thank you Linh for hosting us!
