The house is full of people come and go, we have musicians who just suddenly step to the house and stay for 2 3 month ; we have friends who just come, dogs and cats and chicken neighbors is all around waiting for foods; bugs, spides r and mosquito also ....
We are dreamers, live our life in our own way, cherish the life and celebrate it every single day, with music, art, great food, great company and the way we live with the best of us. We are building a home for all friends to come and celebrate the wonderful life with us, a family. When you come here and love it, you're a part of our family already :D Let's make our family bigger and bigger.

About the Area
In the heart of Tavan, 5 minute walk up the hill so be prepare to walk up a little bit, (backpack is strongly recommend than suitcase, for your convenience), near the convenience shop and coffee shop/bakery, but still be quiet and surrounded by mountain and wide range of view. Next to the green bamboo forest and terrace field, you can see and hear the small stream murmuring around softly; and far away is the valley with small village and big river rolling.
The space is very cozy,THE MAIN HOUSE with 4 private rooms (thick & soft mattress) and 2 dorms, with the chimney in the middle and some easy going Sofa and open wooden deck for yoga, we also have outdoor bar and outdoor BBQ with mountain view, and a big Kitchen for everybody to make coffee, tea, and cook dinner together. THE CABIN IN THE FOREST - with 3 separate cabin in the bamboo forest, with small stream softly running through every moment will sing you into a deep deep sleep, connect one with nature again :D; just 30 second walk from the main house and you 'll get into a place nobody know :D
The kitchen is very comfortable where you can help yourself making the breakfast, coffee, tea the way you like! We always cook together at night so everybody can join with us, cooking class for free for those beautiful souls who love cooking like us :D
Around is the big garden where we plan a lot of herb like mint, basil, lemon grass, lemon leaf, perilla... a lot of type you can use as medicine. Some other vegetable, some kind of fruit like plum, peach, guava... will bring your soul back to the Nature. We also raise buffalo, pig, chicken, duck and cute dogs
A place to be - The house always host free accommodation for Musician (dorm staying or discount for private room/ cabin) so everybody can enjoy the live music. We also play Guitar and Ukulele (piano, violin, and banjo drum for you to play), so some time just hang out together and enjoy every moment!

1. TREKKING through the mountains and local villages with local guide, enjoy being friends together, share the local cuisine, flow your mind in the sound of river, waterfalls and satisfy your souls with real nature. Perfect for those friends who love walking and burn your energy.
2. HANDICRAFT WORKSHOP is a truly retreat for your artist souls by observing, learning, experiencing and doing it yourself the whole process of how Hmong people make their gorgeous traditional clothes, from their garden to their clothes, all by their hands and souls. Perfect even in foggy, rainy or sunny days.
3. MOTORBIKE TOUR for you adventurous souls. Get on our bikes or drive it by yourself and go explore the truly Sapa. This is unique way to explore Sapa because it'll bring you all around Sapa area, to some hidden gems, just to enjoy sunset on the top of the mountains or jumping on random rock, or swimming in the hidden waterfall in the forest,... We found a truly Sapa on motorbike and we're more than happy to share it with you.
The other favorite activities are motorbike tour/ taxi tour to cable car to Fansipan - the highest mountain in Indochina, Cat Cat village, Love waterfall, silver water fall, heaven gate...
Quiet, chill out, music, meditation, be ourselves, into the nature, true local experience and friends & family atmosphere are how we are!

Endroit super, bien aménagé et typique. Malheureusement le temps n'était pas au rdv, ce qui nous a empêché de profiter du paysage. Les hôtes n'étaient pas présent du au nouvel an, la femme qui nous accueillait parlait peu Anglais et était peu avenante. Tous les commerces de ta van étaient fermés à cause de la période de fête. Nous étions obligés de prendre des taxis (peu présents) pour rejoindre Sapa en 25min.
De plus, je n'avais eu aucunes réponses des propriétaires jusqu'au jour de l'arrivée malgré plusieurs messages envoyés 3 semaines à l'avance.
La côte de 10 minutes avant le logement est difficilement accessible pour tous.January 2024

Waking up to great view every morning. My friends and I enjoyed our 2 nights stay there with the kids, host (cookie/john) and the helper. Walking up 200m steep slope up to the homestay can be challenging to some people. Other than that, all is good. (:

My girlfriend and I stayed with John and the rest of the lazycrazy crew for 2 nights (3 days) of our 3-week journey in Vietnam and it was by far and away our favourite aspect of the trip!
We were made to feel welcome and at home straight away and had breakfast served to us within an hour of getting there. We both have vegetarian diets and this was catered to plentifully as a lot of the other people there were also veggie. The food in general was incredible - and all locally sourced!
The guys at lazycrazy are very relaxed and easy going and make themselves available for anything you fancy doing while in Ta Van. We went on a trek, played card games and spent an afternoon with the Hmong people learning about and doing our own Batik (highly recommend!).
We met so many wonderful people who we've kept in touch with since our stop there, and we already can't wait to go back!

This place is just simply amazing! It has a little community vibe, so whenever you arrive you feel like a part of family! There is a stunning view in fron of the house, the food is delicious and you feel really at peace there.

I have to say that we had an amazing time at the lazy crazy hostel. John is a very kind and honest host, he will take care of you like you are his friend. There is a really chill atmosphere at the hostel, it's what the name (lazy crazy) states. The first day we went hiking to a small waterfall where we could swim, and the other day we rented a bike so we could discover the villages on our own. Another thing what makes this place so magical is that it lays outside the SaPa center, so it isn't touristic at all and you can enjoy the view so peacefully. Lastly the food is made by a local girl who has amazing cooking skills. I would recommend the place and when I come back I will definitely book at lazy crazy. I wish you all the luck for the future!! Keep up the nice work. Thank you for everything!!
How do I book?
Contact the host about your stay - tell them a little about yourself, why you are staying and ask any questions you have about their homestay. You will be able to book immediately after sending your message.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
