Frank's place is AMAZING. We booked for four nights...we stayed for fourteen! In the heart of Vedado, you can't get better. It's a functional place and has everything you need, with a WIFI park (the only way to get WIFI in Cuba) 1 minute away. The aircon was perfect, the shower roars hot water, the bed is comfortable...every night we slept so well. The action of Havana happens as soon as you walk out the door. It's so close to Biky (great cafe/restaurant) and a direct local bus to the trans-Cuba bus station (for Vinales, Trinidad etc) is 1 minute walk away...and costs 2 cents! You live like a local at Frank's place - he makes it so easy. The best part....is Frank! He is so caring, considerate and enthusiastic, and always helps if you need it. Sorry for the delay in this review, I came back from Cuba last week and was depressed our 3 weeks was over :( But when I return to Havana, it will be to stay in the same place! Trust me, this is where you want to be. Every night after a big day it was a dream to come back to Frank's place and sleep. So comfortable!

We (4 of us) started our Cuba journey at Franks home. He and his wife are very friendly and open minded. After four weeks, we mailed Frank and stayed again at his 2 bedroom apartment for the last night in Cuba. He helped us to confirm the flight and arranged the taxi to the airport. :-) :-) :-)

Wir (4 Personen) sind bei der Ankunft in Havana bei Frank und seine Frau (gegenüber deren eigener Wohnung) in einem Zweizimmer-Appartment untergekommen. Nach einer 4-wöchigen Tour durch Kuba haben wir per eMail unsere Ankunft für die letze Nacht in Kuba angekündigt und sofort bestätigt bekommen; Frank hat für uns den Flug bestätigen lassen und war ansonsten auch sehr hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Am 27.2. haben wir ihm ein wenig zurückgeben können, indem wir ihm zu seinem Geburtstag ein Ständchen gesungen und ein kleines Geschenk überreicht haben ;-)

Frank is a very commited and entousiastic host. We were welcomed to the casa as if we were old friends. The appartment is big, with two bedrooms. The bed was the best bed we have had in Cuba.

Frank's place was our last stop on our way home, so we didn't get to experience Frank's tips about Havana and Cuba. But he can help you with what you need if you are starting your trip.

It was nice to see more of Havana being back and staying at this location. The walk to the old center is about 25 minutes, but it is a nice walk.

We had a wonderfull stay at Frank's home in the beginning of January 2019. The flat is at Havana Centro, with restaurants and bars, and even a bank with a working ATM in the neighborhood.
Frank is very kind, and so is his wife Elaine. we also met their cute daughter, and nice cat.
Frank and Elaine helped us to catch a bus to Varadero, and also booked a casa there. We were in contact with Frank also after we left Havana, and he was always there, if we needed help during our stay in Cuba. Thank you Frank annd Elaine, for your help during our stay in Cuba. We wish you all the best in the future.

Frank is very helpfull and kind. The appartement is in centro havana. To new havana it is about 10 minute walk, 5 minute to malecon and 20/30 minute to the heart of old havana. Centro seems more harsh but we always felt safe and it was nice to walk around without people asking us to come to their restaurant etc.
Frank showed us around to find an atm and showed us the university and the breakfirst at his place is very good.
When we came back to Havana earlier than expected he helped us find a place.
