5 European Homestays for a weekend city break

I’ve put together ten of my favourite city break destinations for you to explore over a weekend away.
1 Berlin, Germany
Discover Berlin through a homestay with Birgit. Her home is very central so she loves to go to the theatre and to gigs as often as she can. Birgit loves learning foreign languages which is one of the reasons she became a host two years ago. While you’re there, go to Five Elephant for coffee from their micro roastery and treat yourself to a slice of their cheesecake, you won’t be disappointed.
2 Paris, France
Emmanuel lives in the 15th District of Paris in a beautiful bright apartment with high celings and big windows. Staying with him means you get to explore the real Paris away from the Champs-Élysées. He was born in Paris but lived in England, USA and Australia during his studies. Music, travel and new technologies are his passions and he loves meeting people from different cultures to his own. He is a helpful and hands on host so can help you make the most of your weekend in Paris.
3 Valetta, Malta
Valetta is the European Capital of Culture for 2018 a great reason for a visit. Host Anna lives in an historical Maltese townhouse with balcony at the front. Living in the centre of Valetta means that by staying with her you can explore everything on foot. She has 4 children who love water skiing and often go out on their private boat so she can give you plenty of advice on watersports. For all you Game of Thrones fans, she is also within walking distance from main bus terminal so you can catch a local bus to the historic city of Mdina.
4 Seville, Spain
Juan lives in the Macarena district of Seville on the ground floor of a traditional Sevillian house just 5 mins walk from the centre of the city. He loves interior design and his home is beautifully decorated in a blend of traditional and modern influences. He lives with his partner Jose and they both love advising their guests on their stay in Seville.
5 Dublin, Ireland
Stay with Edel in her home in the heart of Dublin city centre. Her house is in an historic location which dates back to Viking times. It's only a 10 minute walk way from Temple Bar and Grafton Street with easy access to Christchurch Cathedral, Dublin Castle and Guinness Storehouse. Edel is more than happy to help you navigate Dublin city during your trip.
