I enjoyed my stay with the Trewalla's at their townhouse in North van and will remember it fondly for this was my first place of residence in Canada as a newly arrived permanent resident.
The room and facilities were quite convenient, spacious and comfortable but given the easy access to the rest of North Van and downtown(via the 240 bus), I can guarantee you'll spend more time outdoors- which is how Vancouver in general but particularly North Vancouver needs to be experienced. The rental pricing is also good value.
Your room has a voice activated TV loaded with OTP and cable too. Their place is close to Walmart and other grocery stores/supermarkets and RBC, trust and other banks, besides a mall.
I'd finally recommend taking a walk down to the waterfront/marina in the evening, where you can catch golden sunsets, floatplanes fluttering around and downtown Vancouver's unattainable(and still increasing!) skyline in its ever evolving glory. Its quite the site and draws many tourists. They've also got a nice walking trail and a beach volleyball court there.
The whole neighbourhood is moderately busy, walkable, clean and safe. Your hosts, Glen and Sheila, are chill people and I had some interesting conversations too.

It was an amazing experience. Very lovely couple. They made my transition wonderful. I felt at home the whole time. I wish I didn't have to leave.

They are very nice, so kind, and they allowed me to do laundry, the place is very clean,near from many stores and malls.Excellent host!

Was a very nice stay Glenn and Sheila are very friendly hosts and willing to help and give advise on the North Vancouver area. The room was well set up and the bed was comfortable. I would recommend staying there.

Fantastic location, excellent stay. Absolutely gorgeous part of BC. I had full access to the kitchen and laundry. Glenn and Sheila were very helpful and gave me lots of great information about things to see and do in the area. The house was perfect for my 3 week business trip to Vancouver and I really enjoyed my time there. I would definitely book again.

It was my first visit to Vancouver and my purpose was to settle my daughter who got admission at University of British Columbia (UBC) and to attend the Jump-start / Orientation. I am from India (Delhi) and my home-stay was booked from 22nd to 30th Aug. with Glenn & Sheila.
Glenn & Sheila are the perfect hosts and amazingly hospitable ! They make you comfortable, provide you all the space and privacy, always ready to share the lay of the land and smaller details of restaurants, eating joints, malls and public transport/ cabs. From day 1 I never felt as if I was away from home. There home is wonderful and in a very quiet and peaceful lane.
The Capilano mall is a 5 minute walk from their place and it has a food-court and Walmart for all your day to day needs/ provisions. The Bus stop is also round the corner to Vancouver downtown and UBC.
They shared their fridge & kitchen which does speak of their being open and accommodative, as also the washing machine.
All in all I can say that the next time I visit Vancouver, I would like to stay with them only.
A 5 star rating for Glenn and Sheila !!!

Glenn and Sheila were excellent hosts. They were very helpful with any questions I had. The room was clean and very comfortable. The homestay is in a great location in a very nice neighborhood easily accessible by public transport, very close market like Walmart and Save on Food. And very close has a Capilano Mall with restaurants and stores. I would definitely stay again! Grateful for the hospitality Glenn & Sheila!
