Nous avons adoré notre séjour Chez Alina. Elle possède une belle grande maison et vous y serez très à l'aise pour découvrir la capitale cubaine. Alina parle anglais et elle s'occupe très bien de ses invités. Elle est ingénieure, c'est une femme très cultivée avec qui vous pourrez jaser et en apprendre beaucoup, Merci Alina ! Elle est super calme et prend le temps de bien vous expliquer les choses. La chambre est A1 avec salle de bain privée et mini frigo. Une bonne Cristal aide à mieux dormir ;-) Alina sert le petit déjeuner léger à chaque matin. Vous pouvez avoir à accès à un petit déjeuner plus copieux moyennant un léger supplément.

Elle habite dans le quartier Vedado avec ses 2 filles (super gentilles et bien élevées) ainsi que leur chien). Il y a un super restaurant juste à côté avec un service "WOW" comme on n'en voit plus dans nos sociétés "modernes". Super menu aussi et pas cher !

Le terminal Viazul, n'est pas loin. On peut aller à pied au début du Malecon. Entre 4 et 7 CUC vous permettront d'atteindre n'importe quel coin de la capitale. Aller à l'aéroport est un peu plus cher ! Bienvenidos a Cuba !

Nous vous recommandons cet endroit sans problème.

Sono stata ospite per una notte poichè ero di passaggio all'Havana, ho conosciuto Alyna la proprietaria di casa ed è stata subito molto gentile e accogliente, ci ha dato una camera molto curata con aria condizionata e frigobar come se stessimo in albergo. E' stata anche di compagnia facendoci visitare la città di notte ed a dimostrarsi disponibile ad ogni nostra richiesta ed esigenza. Consiglio tutti di andarci per il buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Alina was very sweet and helpful. Her house was tranquil and quiet which was great after a days spent in Old Havana. She had pamplets for guests for various excursion, though nothing we were interested in she would clearly would have helped you organize them. She was helpful calling restaurants to make reservations. My issues with her casa were: she had two beds in the room advertized not one, which was fine except they were it seemed air beds that weren't filled up enough. Very squishy and not firm. We were so uncomfortable sinking in them that we slept in separate beds despite being a couple. The pillows were very uncomfortable too and had no pillow cover only a case, so I had to put a t shirt around it. The other thing was there were no chairs outside anywhere. Most casas we have seen and/or stayed in have great outdoor space to have coffee or tea. (Like in her pictures!) but she had nothing set up for us. I felt like I was inconveniencing her by asking for a chair. It was tiny and uncomfortable. Not like the awesome metal patio furniture and rocking chairs you see everywhere. And she didn't bring out a table. So prepare to be jealous of the casa next door where they have a private terrace with great patio furniture. Lastly, there was no hot water to shower the last morning before getting on a plane and we saw two cockroaches one in the shower and one small dead one on the bed when we arrived.

Even with that though. The house is big and airy and so quiet. We stayed in worse in Cuba and anyone who is new to visiting will see it's all relative. She had a working bathroom, a pretty, large room with windows, an A/C, and a mini fridge that she always had stocked with a giant bottle of water which you will need!

(Also, it is directly across from Cuba Libro a great English language bookstore and outdoor oasis run by an American woman and her family. It's very cute. They sell chocolate chip cookies. And you can hangout in their garden even if you don't buy much. We left the rarely found American books for the Cubans, but bought a beautiful limited edition sketch book by a Cuban artist as a souvenior. If you have room, bring her books for a donation. Especially American books. We would have if we had known!)

La casa de Alina es una maravilla, me senti muy bien y como a casa allí. Alina también me ayudo mucho cuando ten preguntas sobre Habana y como moverme. La casa esta ubicada en una zona muy buena de Vedado, con un supermercado y un mercado de frutas cerca. Además la FAC queda solo dos cuadras lejos. Alina y sus hijas son muy simpáticas y me gusto mucho conversar con ellas pero en el mismo tiempo he tenido privacidad total. Solo puedo recomendar quedarse en la casa de Alina cuando uno esta en La Habana.

The casa of Alina is very recomendable, I felt very good and like home there. Alina was super helpful and could answer all of my questions. The casa is located in a really good area of Vedado, I was traveling alone, and I could go out as well alone at night without any problems. A supermarket and a fruit market is nearby and as well the FAC is very close. I had many nice talks with Alina and her daughters as they are very kind, but at the same time I had full privacy. I just can recommend Alinas casa when staying in Habana.

I had a wonderful 6-day stay with Alina and her twin daughters. Alina is a gentle and polite host. Very knowledgeable and speaks good English. She helped me arranged transport to various sights and advised me on local culture and happenings. We often have chats in the morning after breakfast if I am not rushing out the door, or when I return in the evenings. My room is spacious and clean with air-con and a little refrigerator. The room is cleaned everyday and bed sheets and towel were changed after the 3rd day. Very nice!! Alina's home is well located. I could walk to the Malecon and Calle 23 and onto La Rampa easily. There're also two cemetaries nearby, the Spanish and Chinese. It's a nice and safe neighbourhood. Alina made my stay a memorable one in Havabana. Mucho gracias! Xoxo
