美丽的房间在特式！

What I liked:
Beautiful home, quiet back street, walking distance from everything, ability to cook in an outdoor kitchen if desired (and I did). Esther was nice and helpful. I slept REALLY good here. Everything was clean and well maintained.

What I wish had been different:
I was hoping for more of a cultural exchange. This home is for travelers who want to pay extra for autonomy. Because this was certainly more expensive than local hotels and hostels. This is a busy family with lots for on. Also, cooking was nice but it was so cold I could hardly enjoy myself or keep my hands warm enough to chop stuff. Finally, As someone else said- there is not central heating. Also the hot water for showering was lacking. And I spent a cold day inside of el Mezquita and that was all my body could handle, so I too got sick. I left the home stay a day early so as not to contaminate the rest of the family and got a hotel for the same price.

This might be the right place for the kind of experience you want to have, but because of time of year (December) and I was the only traveler there, and because my two other home stays had in Spain had had been so different, I was a little bummed. Also me getting sick didn’t help. So take this review with that in mind.

Two of us stayed in Esther's yellow room upstairs (bathroom down the hall). We were grateful for the air conditioning and ceiling fan in the room as the temperatures reached 98 (37c) on the days we visited. The home is on a narrow back street that is quiet and local but is just 10-15 minutes walking to the central area. We enjoyed being away from the bustle. A courtyard and guest kitchen are on the main floor. Ester (and other guests) provide spices, oils, coffee, tea and even ice cream in the freezer. More supplies are one block away in the grocery called al coop. Muchas gracias, Esther!

La maison, avec une jolie cour intérieure est située dans un quartier typique de Cordoue, lieu de refuge dans l histoire et plein de charme qui traverse le temps jusqu'à nous. On peut aisément aller à pieds à la Catedral Mezquita. Esther est très sympathique. Merci. La casa, con un patio interior muy bonito se situa en un Barrio tipico de Cordoba, lugar de refugio en la historia y lleno de encanto que atraviesa el tiempo hasta nosotros. Podemos ir facilement andando a la Catedral Mezquita. Esther es muy simpatica. Muchas gracias.

Esther is a kind and helpful host. Her home is a hidden gem!! - very tastefully decorated in a chic, bohemian style. It has a beautiful little court yard with scented flowers in the evening, a great collection of local interest books in the bedroom; separate toilet and a detached kitchen area accessed via the court yard garden. The property is 5 mins walk from the Roman temple and about 15 mins walk from the old Great Mosque, the Roman bridge and the Juderia. There are nice restaurants nearby and a DIA supermarket a few minutes walk away. In short, if there is availability, I would have no hesitation about staying at this property again - muchas gracias Esther!!
