Birgit's house was lovely! Very clean, airy with nice views and a very comfy bed. Her house is located on the outskirts which means you have to take a tram into town but its fairly quick. The only comment I have is that it would be nice to have a bit more room for my stuff in the kitchen and bathroom. But otherwise a lovely stay. Birgit was so kind and even talked to me in German to help improve my German.

Maria's home is very nice and clean and my room was very cosy with a comfortable bed. The only difficulty came in the fact that it was so small which as they were no pictures to prepare me for was quite a shock (the bathroom is only about a metre wide). My visit was also hampered by an infestation of ants in my computer charger and clothes which took 3 hours to sort out. Of course this wasn't Maria's fault but she didn't seem to care that much about it. She also regularly had her grandchildren to visit which meant it was hard to leave my room and the noise level was quite loud. Overall a perfectly decent stay but not without a few drawbacks.

The house is very reasonably priced and in a great location in Berlin's gentrified area. Jorinde is very kind and friendly and very good with suggestions for places to eat or visit. The only downside was the squeakiness of the bed and the lack of curtains in the bedroom. To be fair, the Germans don't really do curtains but for us British it would be nice to block out the sun as I woke up very early each morning. But overall a lovely experience with a great host! Thank you!
