My son and I stayed with Chiaki for 10 nights and we really enjoyed it. They were welcoming, happy to answer our questions, and the breakfast was very good. The air conditioning in our bedroom was a welcome relief after a long hot day of sight-seeing. I suggest you stay at the beginning of your trip to Japan. It’s helpful that they were willing to explain things and help us get a handle on how things work. Her house is a 20 minute walk from the JR train station. Sometimes we walked, sometimes we took the bus and sometimes they offered to drive us on their way to work. Takatsuki Station is very convenient to both Osaka and Kyoto.
