Time to relax and unwind with the locals in Canada
On a recent vacation in Canada, Vickie Guillory stayed in a homestay with her hosts David and Maiko in their beautiful home by the sea in Fairfield, Victoria.
Vickie, a volunteer ESL facilitator in her hometown of Houston in the United States, had a very simple agenda for her trip - time to relax and unwind.
Staying with a host family gave Vickie the opportunity to experience the local atmosphere and discover places that only the local community would know about.
"Victoria is a perfect-sized community," Vickie said. "The residents are friendly and helpful, and the summer climate is great for outdoor activities."
