This family was extremely polite, respectful and nice! Approx. 30-40min walk from Old Habana. The house maid was always happy, wearing a constant smile. She cleaned the room everyday and washed our clothes frequently. Sleeping was made possible in this hot country due to the life-saving air conditioner, however, bring earplugs as the air-conditioner, traffic outside and the fridge makes some noise. The small breakfast was plentiful. The family restaurant which is located about 50m from the room was the best restaurant in Habana in regard to service and prices. We ate there approx. 7 times. Communication went better than expected. They had Wi-Fi which I think is considered uncommon. You purchase a pre-paid card at places called ETECSA for about 2-3CUC per hour. They have a in door cat that never entered our room (good manners) and a dog that is on the roof. The dog was a delight to pet and was very lovely. However, it was dirty and had plenty of ticks. This is the sole downfall in the review of this room. Although, you who reads this review should know that poor animal care was seen all across Habana. It seems like Cuban culture does not currently have the same standards and laws regulating animal rights as seen, at least, in Sweden.
In conclusion: A great room with great hospitality and service! We would definitely recommend this room to future guests.
