Homestay in large house in semi-rural location outside the seaside town of Santa Cruz (the house is about 20 minutes' walk from the beach).
I enjoy meeting guests and making them feel welcome.
The house is near the historic town of Torres Vedras (a 20-minute bus journey or drive). It's within reach of Lisbon (approximately 1 hour by car, or 2 hours by public transport).
There is a shared kitchen with oven, hob, and fridge space. Access to garden (and potentially terrace, depending on what room you are in). Please note, there is no TV, and I do not currently have a washing machine (although there are two launderettes in Santa Cruz, which I use often).

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
Be quiet, particularly at night.
Treat neighbours, other residents, and the house with respect.
Keep to your own shelf in the fridge, and your own section of the food cupboard.
Washing-up should be done promptly.
Please ask before bringing other people in, and don't have them to stay overnight. No extra (unbooked) guests, including children.
CHECK-IN: 4pm to 10pm
CHECK-OUT: 11am
Damage deposit: please note that guests are required to pay a damage deposit of 50 euros per guest (so for example, a group of two people would pay 100 euros) to cover repairs or replacements in case of loss or damage to items you use. You should pay this when you pay the room fee. It will be returned to you in cash when you check out, subject to an inspection of your room and the house amenities which we will do together. Regarding what counts as damage (and whether or not you caused it), my decision is final.
Payment: payment of the room fee and damage deposit can be made in cash on arrival, or in advance by bank transfer. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please ask and I will generate a link for you to click, which will show you the details.

Will's house is super spacious, clean and comfortable, resided in a quiet area but in walking distance to the beaches. I appreciate a lot his hospitality, his knowledge about the area and transportation as well as his quick response. I will definitely come back.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
