We are a family of four but always have a spare room as my adult children mostly live/ study abroad. We do not have an outdoor area but live minutes away from two beautiful city beaches. Las Palmas is a cycle friendly city with great outdoor life, cultural events (we have our own film festival and auditorium) and plenty of outdoor sports ( surfing/ beach volley/ kayaking/paddle boarding/ snorkelling/windsurf/ sailing just to mention a few). You can also go for beautiful hikes in the hills and mountains of Gran Canaria. If you wish to explore the other islands you only need to take an hour boat ride or 20 minute plane ride. Shops are nearby and so is the health center and local parks for outdoor training/running.
We have a friendly dog who loves to snuggle up with everyone. We speak English and Spanish at home. I am a learning coach and mostly work from home. You will have your own room with Wifi but share a bathroom.

Our apartment is located 15 minute walk from the nearest beach and 10 minute bus ride from the main beach. There is a variety of local shops and coffee shops in the area, a health center and 2 supermarkets. Nearest bus stop is a 2 minute walk away and the airport is 20 minutes by car or 35 minutes by bus.

I usually go to bed early so expect you to be respectful/quiet if coming home late in the evenings/night. You may use the kitchen to prepare drinks/ snacks but must leave everything tidy. Some family members smoke but never in the house.

My stay with Patricia & here family felt like a new home from home. :)
I was welcomed from the first minute.
Any question I may had I could always ask and got a helping hand. Good tips what to see and to do in Las Palmas included.
My private room had everything what I needed and the internet connection worked fast.The bed felt very comfortable.
The apartment is in a central location with a big supermarket in walking distance and not far away from Parque San Telmo.
Just a cross the street, 2 minutes away to walk, is a bus stop with many different lines. Including the direct service to the airport and down to the south. To explore the island by public transportation is no problem. If I ever come back to Las Palmas I would love to stay there again.March 2024
I cannot praise my stay with Patricia enough. I have no words to describe what a beautiful soul she has. She did everything to make my stay as pleasant as possible. I felt like family; when I was sick, she took care of me. She has a sweet dog that I miss so much now. I had Spanish classes every day and was able to practice my Spanish with the wonderful family despite my broke language.
All the people in this apartment—Patricia, the husband, the daughter, and the sweet dog—have won a big place in my heart. This apartment is not that big but is full of love and warmth. Thank you Patricia for making my experience in Las palmas wonderful and unforgettable.January 2024
This really has been a home away from home. Patricia and her family are super kind people and treated me like one of their own. The apartment is really lovely and clean, has everything you need. I can only recommend it to anyone and would love to come back again!

My stay with Patricia was fabulous. They are a super couple and made my stay perfect, from advice to places to go and see to transport tips. The place is perfect for getting around and to beaches with just a short bus ride away. I was sad to leave but will definitely return when I get a chance.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
