About the Homestay
I live 8 miles away from Longford town and 2 miles from our nearest little village of Ballinalee.
My two boys are aged 13 and nearly 15 and we have a lovely old dog called Mickey and 3 cats (which we keep outside).
The house is a 4 bed-roomed bungalow and the accommodation available is a large room with en-suite and beautiful views across the fields.
There are also lots of nice walks nearby and a bicycle available if required.

About the Area
Our house is located almost two miles from the village of Ballinalee where you can find pubs, shops, post office, play park, churches and garage.
It is very quiet here save for the wildlife and the local sheep and cattle.
Ballinalee is known for General Sean McEoin who played a prominent part in the War of Independence. The ruins of his family home is on the corner of our lane along with his restored blacksmiths forge.
We are 5 miles from the small town of Granard which has historical connections with Michael Collins.
In Granard we have: take aways, various types of shops, hair-dressers/barbers, post office, supermarkets, schools, garages, Police and Fire stations.
Longford town is about 10 miles away and we have 3 buses a day going into the town. From Longford there are buses and trains available to Dublin and the rest of the country.
Dublin airport is about 85 miles away and there are several buses throughout the day that drop off at the doors of the airport.
