Our beautiful, warm, safe home (built in 1890, renovated in 2017) is in the UNESCO World Heritage village of Saltaire (only 17 mins to Leeds).
Guests who stay with us want to improve their English. And feel more confident living in the UK. They visit the UK to work or study in or near Leeds or Bradford.
Our guests are international students, university professors, interns, language assistants...
You will be happy in our home if you want to:

You will like the village we live in and the surrounding area because it is very pretty, and traditional of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.
Nearby are nice cafes, bars and restaurants. It is also close to Leeds and Bradford - very easy to get to class or work (unlimited train & bus pass costs £26 / week).
We love the outdoors. We go walking, running and mountain biking in the hills near home, surfing on the coast, and visit cities, mountains, lakes, coast often. We often take our guests with us.
We speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, and I speak a little French, and we love trying the languages of people who stay with us.

*we prepare fresh, healthy British & International meals for you, 5 nights per week (Sunday to Thursday) e.g. lasagne, chicken & rice, chilli, curry, fish pie, pizza night. Vegetarian & Halal available. BREAKFAST (everyday) & DINNER (Sunday - Thursday) ARE INCLUDED IN THE ROOM PRICE.
On Friday & Saturday night, our guests often prepare their own food in our kitchen, eat out with friends, or have a takeaway.
One night each month, we invite you to prepare a traditional meal from your country (we like trying food from around the world!)

After you have made your reservation, if your booking is for a stay of 1 month or more, I will send you a contract summarising your arrival & departure date, and the payment amount and schedule so that you can be confident we have reserved the room for you for your entire stay, and understand how and when to pay (e.g. every month / term)

Our experience in the Nev’s house was simply amazing. We had a fully furnished room, with a confortable bed and spacious wardrobe.
We shared different spaces (toilet and kitchen) with 4 students.Every night we ate together and took advantage of the moment to tell how it went in the day and organize plans and trips.
Nev, Lulu and Bella will teach you everything that you need. We highly recommend Nev’s house and hope to return very soon.
If you want to learn English and know British culture, you have to choose Nev’s house.

Dear Lulu dear Nev
I will never forget my time with you! You gave me a lovely welcome, it is the perfect place to stay in England.
Nev and Lulu were always very helpful and treated me like family. I would book this accommodation again anytime. The train connections from the accommodation to Leeds and beyond are great, sometimes even better than in the city of Leeds itself. I stayed with Nev and Lulu for 3 months and I always had a good time!!! There was a lot of laughter at dinner and it felt like home to me!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I hope to see you again soon.

Nev has been the perfect host, perfect home, perfect family. I really feel me in my own home. I Lived in Nev's house almost 2 months, there was a special and amazing time. Nev and Lulu help me in several situations, with transport, with travels, with shopping, supermarket, school, all I had needed I could count with them. I had a massive breakfast, the dinner are very good!! Nev and Lulu cook delicious foods. The house is confortable, clean, good energy and good foods. The train station is so close the house, almost 5 minutes, bus station 2 minutes. There are supermarkets, stores, restaurants and a beautiful Park just a few minutes walking. I've loved stay these months in Nev's House, Im sure there isn't a better place in Leeds. I Can say Nev, Lulu and Bella are my family in UK. Thanks for all, Nev! You are in my heart forever.

I had a perfect stay In Nev's home!!! His house is perfectly located in Saltaire, in a quiet area, near a beatiful park which has a restaurant and a bar if you'd like to have a good time with your friends. The room was a good size, confortable enough and I loved to use the common areas such as the kitchen (with a great coffee machine), loundry and the front part of the house. Nev and Luciana (his other half) are super friendly and keen to chat and share nice experiences. I definitely recommend Nevil's place to everyone

Excellent family it was a pleasure to meet with them i had a lot of time to make practice my English language with them and they are so polite persons i really enjoyed with them and if i come to leeds again %100 i will choose that home for accommodation. Absolutely great family candid persons!!

I enjoyed my stay with Nev and his family. It was a pleasure to join our dinner conversations and meet & learn from other students (the food was great too!). Saltaire is a beautiful village to explore, and is well-connected to other locations worth visiting such as Shipley and Leeds. It takes less than 10 minutes to reach the Saltaire train station, and then another 20 to get to Leeds train station. Thank you for hosting me, for the delicious healthy meals, and the good company!

Staying with Nev was an unforgetable experience. He is one of the kindest and nicest person I have ever met in my life. He is willing to help you with anything you need during your stay. His house is a beautiful place to stay in a stunning village Saltaire and the village was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. I felt very comfortable and welcoming. Their house was my house too for a while where I could feel at home. Nev and Bella were extremely friendly. We had great evenings together, preparing dinner and playing games together. I truly enjoyed visiting other places with them during my stay there. The warm gesture was picking me up at the airport at the beginning of my stay and also lifting me up to the airport at the end of my stay.
This is one experience which will remain etched in my mind forever. Thank you for everything and hope to see you soon. Highly recommended. If you choose to stay with Nev, you won't regret.Host reply
