My house is Bungalow style, and the newly renovated basement have 3 bedrooms, with closets/drawers , study table, lampshade, and bed. One room has a double bed (for two people) with an ensuite. I live with my husband, daughter and a small puppy (hypoallergenic). All my family members are working and I am the only person at home to greet and welcome you.
Parking and Wi-fi is available. The shopping mall is just opposite the street and plenty of restaurants/fast food outlets are available inside the mall as well as outside.
Cameras have been installed outside the house facing the entrances and the drive-way for security reasons.
* Payment Method:
Please note that we require our guests to pay 50% of the booking total to us in advance of the booking to hold your room (on top of the 15% service fee paid to Homestay.com). Therefore, you must send 50% CAD $ ahead of your stay by Western Union once the booking is confirmed. The balance 50% will be upon arrival by CASH.
** Cancellation Policy: We ask our guests to give us at least 5 days notice for any cancellation. Any cancellation later than this will not be refunded.

About the Area
Our house is located towards the east of Toronto. The area is called Wexford-Maryvale. Its very convenient to everything. The bus stop is 3 minutes away. The shopping mall is just opposite the bus stop and in that shopping mall there are doctors offices, pharmacies, grocery stores, banks, libraries and plenty of fast food restaurants in the mall as well as outside the mall. The neighborhood is occupied by mostly retirees and young families.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
1. Smoking and/or vaping is not allowed.
2. Liquor and drugs will not be tolerated.
3. Please turn off lights (your room, washroom and common areas), water & appliances when not in use. Also, the light in the microwave is not a night light. Therefore, please leave the microwave door closed all the time.
4. No pets allowed.
5. Please keep noise to a minimum, NO excessive noise after 10pm. Silence must be maintained most especially when you are coming home after 10pm.
6. NO overnight guests allowed.
7. Please make sure that you empty the garbage bin in your room/kitchen on Wednesday night EACH WEEK to the appropriate bins outside. Garbage collection is Thursday morning.
8. Please make sure that the bathroom is clean, and no water is spilled for the next person to use.
9. Washer and dryer are to be used once a week (Saturday). NO shoes are allowed in the washer/dryer. NO flammable items in the washer/dryer.
KITCHEN
1. Please clear away any of the dishes that you use and clean up after yourself in the kitchen.
2. The kitchen is shared with other guests, therefore, please do not cook highly aromatic foods (e.g., fried fish, seafood, curries).
3. The fridge/freezer in the basement is small size. therefore, please make sure that others too need space in the fridge/freezer, and you are not overloading it with ONLY your food.
4. Please only run water through the drain – not food, oil, or grease (the cost of paper towel to remove food/oil is much cheaper than a sewage clog).
BATHROOM USE
1. The bathroom is shared by all homestays. Please make sure that you don’t stay too long in the washroom especially in the morning when other students also need to go to school.
2. Please do not flush any feminine hygiene products down the toilet (tampons, pads, etc.). Toilet paper only.
3. Please make sure that the bathroom is clean, and no water is spilled on the floors or counter and ready for the next person to use. Bathrooms are subject to inspection.
OTHER
1. For guests staying longer than 3 days please replace your supplies (toilet paper, paper towel, etc.
2. Owners have access to the basement as needed.
3. Replace whatever you broke
4. You will be provided keys for the house and the complex, if you lose you shall pay replacement costs
5. The guests will pay a damage deposit of CAD 250 Damage deposit collected from the guests: Upon arrival
The damage deposit will be returned to the guest at the time of check out if there is no damage to the property (in cash).
6. Rent is due on the first day of your stay and subsequently on the first day of the month if you are staying for more than one month.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
