Our family lives in a quiet, leafy suburb on a peninsular 9km from the centre of Sydney. Our home is a large 6 bedroom house with a pool and table tennis table. We have 3 children all in their 30's - and all are now living away from home. My husband usually works in New Zealand coming back to Sydney every few weeks. We often have other travellers staying so you can expect to meet some interesting people if you stay here.
We are originally from New Zealand but now love the climate and way of life in Australia, especially Sydney. The area where we live is very safe and is conveniently accessed by a bus service. The bus takes 30 mins to the city centre. There is also a ferry service with a limited timetable that serves our peninsular. The ferry wharf is an easy 5-10 min stroll away. It is a wonderful way to travel into the city and only takes 20 mins. You can use your Opal card or credit card on the ferry.
Our street is wide with little traffic. If you come by your own car parking is not a problem.
If you are arriving at the airport I can pick you up from the St Leonard's train station.
Additional Info
We just speak English at home but I lived in Mexico for one year so have reasonably good conversational Spanish.

Very good

Frances is a nice, caring, helpful, and communicative host. She often invited me for dinner or offered to drive me short distances by car. I particularly enjoyed the "Rummy Cup-game nights", our visits to the theatre and our numerous conversations where I was able to improve my English skills. All in all, I had a wonderful and unforgettable time in Sydney and at Frances' home!

We stayed at Frances place for 6 nights and it was great. We had a big clean room including bathroom. Frances is extremely friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the Rummikub games in evening time :)

Frances is so very kind and helpful. I had good impression on her via homestay.com but when I met her, she was far more than I expected. She helped pick me and my stufff up and dropped me off at the airport with a very reasonable fee. She genuinely wants to help her guests to make the most of their time in Sydney rather than purely focusing on making money. Her house is really clean and big located in a very quiet street. Once you meet her, I'm sure you would trust and respect straight away. I will definitely come back again. Such a fantastic accommodation and a wonderful host!
