Hello and Welcome!
My name is Savuth. I live with my wife Savon and our two children, Channa and Sothea in Po Bantey Chay Village Sangkat Siem Reap. My wife Savon and I founded ECC School in March 2014. We provide free English, French, Spanish, Art/Music and sport classes to children from local low income families. We currently offer free classes at three different locations to over 400 students daily. We have now opened the ECC Family homestay, a non profit homestay that offers unique accommodation for families, couples, solo travelers, groups and volunteers. Funds from the homestay go towards School projects and assisting local families. By staying at our homestay you will be supporting local families and helping children learn English, giving them a chance of a brighter future. If you would like to volunteer we also welcome guests to come and assist in teaching classes at one of our ECC sites.
ECC homestay is located in Sangkat Siem Reap, Siem Reap town, 4 kms from the old market along the Siem Reap river on Road number 63 to Tonlesap lake. ECC School is also situated here and there is easy access to the local countryside. ECC Family homestay is perfect for people who would like to go off the beaten track and experience a different side to Siem Reap.

We had a wonderful experience at Savon and Savuth’s place. They are extremely generous people who know how to welcome people into their place. They receive workaways as well to help at the local public school to give English classes. They manage that and their night English school for free. The money they make in receiving tourists in their bungalows will be invested in this night school. They do all this for free and receive no money from the governement. I went to the public school and saw for myself that no one would give English classes if Savon haven’t put in place this volunteering program. As for the facilities, it has all one may need and the beds are comfortable. There is a swimming pool which is very handy with all this heat. The only downside is the smell coming from the neighbourg who are drying fish for local meels, but all this is certainly bareable. To conclude, If you want to invest in a good cause and to help people who are really making a difference in their community, this is the place to go.

Really great little spot in a quite village. The hosts are wonderful people, who cooked beautiful food for us and made us feel completely at home. We loved this little spot and highly recommend it, also you are supporting an important school, run by volunteers.
