Hi my name is Gaye, after many years living in Australia and have travelled the world, I decided to reside here in Opotiki which is my ancestral ground, home of my tipunas(my grandfather and my great-grandparents and so on) I purchased this bungalow 2years ago, and decided to renovate it which is an on going project and have it as a homestay for the likes of you the traveller.
There is my cat Toi Toi as well as myself residing on the property in the Bach behind the Whare(house). This style of home is called a Bungalow built in 1957,it was the original farm house of the area. Now it is situated in amongst other houses in what is still a quiet and cosy area near the golf course , walking distance from the supermarket. Minutes drive from the secluded beaches. The Waioweka river is just down the road ,great swimming hole in the summer, great whitebait fishing spot in the winter.
This spacious 2 bedroom home with a open plan living area, big walk in pantry. Spacious bathroom, and bedrooms along with huge grounds Herbs & Veges as well as the fruit & native trees has been enjoyed by travellers so far
There are the use of bikes and WiFi available.
