It is situated inland from Hikkaduwa, one of the most beautiful places in Sri Lanka, with endless beaches and great surf.
We have many trees and the house has so much space , it will make you want to stay and not go anywhere!!! plenty to do nearby, and a great big kitchen to cook in or have food prepared for you. Comfy huge beds, moskito nets and fans in every room and two outdoor shower and toilet areas, plus a huge bath in the main house.

About the Area
We are located just 1 km from the beautiful quiet beach at Kumara Kanda - there are small shops within a few minutes walk where you can get very basic things , like bread and onions or tomatoes and rice.... We are 10 minutes from the main Hikkaduwa surf beaches, and restaurants, shops, etc.
The train station is about 15 minutes away and there are buses at the Kumara Kanda Junction to go in both directions - to Galle which is about 30 minutes away, or Hikka in the opp direction.
It is better to rent a bike or scooter - although it is also easy to use tuk tuks and it is very inexpensive and fun.

House Rules
Please do not take the bath towels to the beach - I recommend that you use a sarong - it dries a lot quicker and is less to carry.
Although it is pretty safe, always keep your valuables safe. If necessary ask me and we can put them somewhere safe for you.
Please do not leave the fans or lights on unnecessarily.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
