Our large yard has a 30ft boat completely restored and made into a guest house. It has a large comfy bed, bath with shower and kitchen. We are in a secure neighborhood close to beach, public transit and train, parks, library, tennis courts, shopping, restaurants and hiking trails. We are an active family of 2, that has hosted over 60 students throughout the world. We have bikes, surfboards, kayak and lots of ways to be entertained in our lovely city.

About the Area
Our house is in the Village of Carlsbad about 1 km from the beautiful beach. We are 35 miles to San Diego and Mexico and 90 miles to Los Angeles. Carlsbad has many tourist sites such as Legoland, Flower Fields, Carrillo Ranch and 7 miles of beaches. We are within walking distance to great restaurants, hiking, fishing, tennis, parks, shopping and library. The Coaster train is close to take to San Diego and cities South.

House Rules
We will respect your privacy and expect that you will abide by rules and not create drama or disruptive behavior. No loud parties, smoking or drugs. There can be no candles in the boat for safety reasons. It is expected that you will keep your area clean and pick up after yourself. Open communication is essential to make your stay have positive memories.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
