The room was ok. The place where I cooked my meal preparation was dirty et full. And don't worry if you are awake by a scream in the middle of the night: the teenager of the house plays very often with friends and shouts periodically.

Sue gave me a warm welcome and had pleasant stay. She also guided me around Brisbane which was helpful. overall I enjoyed the stay.

I already submitted my review. Apparently, it didn't register. The house is located in a tree lined street. At Sues home in Norman Park, guest accommodation is downstairs and sort of seperate from the rest of the house. You have your bedroom with a queen-sized bed. I think the bathroom is shared with the eldest daughter and there's an area that's set aside for making tea, coffee, toast. The freezer is choc-a-block full of food, but there's no stove to cook on. Cutlery and China are provided. That same space is also the family's laundry. The backyard is well kept and there's a clothesline. For short term accommodation it's ok. But be aware, the family living area is mostly upstairs and directly above your bedroom, so the noise of movement upstairs is tenfold in your bedroom. Your host Sue, has three teenagers, a husband,a dog and a cat, so particularly during the week on school days, don't expect to sleep in. The bus is within easy walking distance, but the weekend service is lousy. Much better to catch the train if your going into town. The train station is also an easy walk. The local park caters for chricketers and male and female football. Although while I was there they were only practicing. There's a Chemist/Doctors surgery close by and a petrol station. If you like your own space, then this could be ok. Mike :)

I stayed in Sue's home for 28 days and in my opinion the house could be tidier and cleaner, don't have much conversation, sometimes because I was tired or because they were tired. David is more talkative... I think there was not much dialogue on both sides, I think she or he could let me know when they was traveling and staying out for the weekend, and I could text when I was not going to eat at the house. But I think there was not much of zeal with the guest

Susan is a friendly host,I got a pick up and drop of at the train station, the property is in a quiet location-close to the train station not far from the city centre. The room was o.k.-nothing nice...The facilities(bathroom,so called outside sitting area,so called kitchen) are everything but clean and cared for.It might be o.k.for students...

Quiet environment and nice ambience. Sue and David had provided us great hospitality. Close to Norman Park (~1km walking) so the accessibility is quite convenient.

Being in homestay in the beginning of my scholarship was amazing. First, I learnt behavior of the new country and I was able to develop new ability with the new language. Second, being in a trust family I could feel safe and secure.
Also, the pets of the house was comforting when you miss your buddy in your country.
I have no doubts that this family was the best family that I could find in Australia.September 2014
Very friendly family! The house is also close to the train station that brings you in a few minutes in the center of Brisbane. I recommend this family! Thank you so much Sue and David! Kevin Favere from Belgium
