We are a small family of three (husband, wife and teenage son) living in a big house (5 bedroom) in Hornsby more close to Asquith side.
We are a professional couple working in IT and medical science fields on a standard daily schedule (8-6 pm). We are part of Sydney commuters with trains/buses. Our son is in year 11 in a selective school working hard towards his HSC test and also in his part time job.
Our house is 15 min walk away from Asquith Station (only slow trains stop). You can also walk for only 35 min to Hornsby Station (one of a few major stations in Sydney) from there you can go anywhere. If you don't like to walk, there is also a local bus (No. 598) right at doorstep running to Hornsby Station at nice frequency. For our daily transport to work, we catch bus (20 m distance from our house) to Hornsby first and then train further to work places. We are happy with this transport routine without stress about the traffic.
Our kitchen is large fully equipped with everything you will need in cooking. In addition to an extended dining area in the kitchen, you can also choose to enjoy your meals either on the upper deck or the undercover dinning table next to the pool where you get nice bush views and sunlight.
You will share the bathroom and separate toilet with our boy (we have our own en-suite). Internet is unlimited without extra charge. Phone is not included in the bill.
We respect our living environment and try to preserve it as much as we can and therefore expect you to be the same. We compost all food waste and also have a worm farm to produce fertilizers for our plants and vegetables. We have a chicken farm and run a bee project at the back of the house (harmless bees). In addition, we brew our own beer and make cheese and bread in our kitchen.
Come and stay with us, a lot of life experiences to share!
