The Valentina House! Felt like we had returned home. Located not far away from the hustle bustle of the city, yet quiet and peaceful. The house is surrounded by trees ( jackfruit etc) and plants. Rooms and their decor..including wooden flooring, tastefully done. A rocking chair, wide bed, mosquito net, closet, aromatic oil spreading fragrance in the room. Attention to every small Detail. Other hotels you will find 2 WHITE towels which after some time will leave you confused which is yours and which one your partner's. Here we were given 2 different coloured towels so we could use our own. Spacious bathroom with hot and cold water and a hair dryer too. The sit out had a table and chairs, a diwan, a mini library, an iron box to iron your clothes if you needed to, a fridge and a shoe rack to place our footwear. A small kitchen with all the necessary utensils, crockery and cutlery where you can cook if you so wish to. Unfortunately our host Valentina was away in Italy when we stayed there. But because of the above, her presence could be felt. As also the manager Mr Ros. He took good care of us, right from picking us up from the airport and driving us around for 4 days in his car. He took us to the Indian restaurants and was our guide too. When we needed a bucket and jug in the bathroom, he promptly arranged one. He also helped us in purchasing some medicines and getting our spectacles repaired. Mrs Ros took care of the house keeping. We found our room spic and span when we returned in the evenings. The gardeners did their job and the ground was cleared of fallen leaves every day. I have never stayed in a more comfortable and homely place than Valentina House. So much so that we extended our stay by one more day in Siem Reap. Thanks Valentina and Mr Ros for making our Siem reap trip a memorable one. Will definitely return one day.
My sister and I had the most memorable stay at Villa MedAsia. We really loved our Garden room and its facilities. The open kitchen came in very handy for Vegetarians like us. The well-maintained lush green garden was a treat to the eyes, when it rains as well as in the early morning. OurTuk Tuk Driver/Care taker/Cab driver, Mr. Ros was super-friendly and informative. Thank you for having us over, Valentina! :) It was indeed a home away from home for us.
Cozy clean room surrounded by a private garden. 10 minutes walking distance from the centre. Thank you, Valentina :)
Bellissima ospitalità. Valentina ed il marito sono disponibilissimi verso gli ospiti e sempre pronti ad organizzarti,se vuoi, le escursioni da fare.
Thank you for a wonderful stay in Siem Reap, Valentina! The house is beautifully decorated and the yard is gorgeous. We so appreciated that you had eggs and bread available for us to make in the morning as we did not have time to get breakfast. That was very thoughtful! Thank goodness the A/C works great and everything was well appointed. We also appreciated the tips about getting around and arranging rides to and from the airport for us. Valentina is wonderful!
My short stay in Valentina's homestay has been too short! From before I travelled to Siem Reap for the first time, Valentina has helped me answer many of my questions and by the time I reached there she has also helped in recommending places as well as ensure my transportation queries are met! Loved their home and the hospitality they have given me. I would have liked to stay longer to chat more but unfortunately I had to go home. Especially loved Valentina's homemade cooking as well as her husband's saxophone playing! Will def recommend to others and should I plan to visit Siem Reap will stay here again no doubt! Thank you so much!! Xoxo
Valentina has a beautiful home and the rooms offer plenty of space. I wish I had more time in Siem Reap so I could hangout more at the house since it has a great balcony and large backyard. Valentina is an extremely responsive host who answered all our questions right away. We didn't have time to try Valentina's cooking but would have if we had more time - we walked by when she was cooking once and it smelled great.
The greatest thing that came from staying with Valentina was her recommended tour with Bun! Bun is a Siem Reap local with good English who drove us in his Jeep to many of his favorite local spots away from tourists.
Valentina was absolutely amazing, she was so welcoming of us to her home. Her home is very beautiful and the room was fantastic. We only wish we could've spent more time with her getting to know more about Siem Reap and her story. She is so warm and caring, we definitely recommend her homestay for all to stay at.
Valentina's home is an ideal place to stay. It is only a short tuktuk ride to pub street, the temples and other places of interest but far enough out that one could get a decent nights sleep. The use of the outside kitchen was great, but don't miss out on sampling Valentina's homemade cooking. Valentina was above and beyond helpful in planning local trips and making suggestions for the onward journey. In my case I needed nursing with a 36 hour bug and it was very reassuring to know that I was being checked upon. The garden is a nice place to sit and paint and if you are lucky to listen to live music. If returning to Cambodia I would certainly stay here again and I recommend it to lone travellers, groups and couples. It really does deserve the five stars.
La estancia fue muy agradable. La habitación es correcta y tranquila, en una buena ubicación, y Valentina nos dio información y contactos muy útiles.
