We welcome you to our home and our family. We are located in the safe area in west Edmonton. We are experienced with having international students and enjoys hosting very much. Our home is across street from a bus stop, walking distance to 3 elementary schools, junior high, shopping center… short bus ride away to West Edmonton mall, university of Alberta, etc. Feel free to come with us shopping and outings.
We have 2 furnished rooms for rent, lots of sun light, quiet. Free wifi and laundry. Light breakfast, coffee/tea is included.
If you would like to include dinner, add $300/ person
(I would recommend to add meals as my husband is an awesome cook of Chinese food.)
We have helped students in the past with applying for cellphone, bank accounts, AB health Care, work permit if needed, and much more.
We are a family of 3 and enjoys hosting of students and people of different back ground and language. As an educator, we can help with practicing English or Chinese. We look forward to share and exchange great conversation with you.

I spent 5 months with the host family.
I was immediately welcomed very warmly by all members of the family. They adapted to the new arrivals as a matter of course, so you could be alone, have conversations or play with Alex if you wanted to.
I highly recommend taking part in the daily dinner. Papa Jack cooks the best and most varied Asian cuisine I have had the pleasure of trying. Korean BBQ or Chinese hotpot on special occasions was my personal highlight.
Mama Kuen has tips for all situations and makes your stay in a foreign country so much easier.
I can recommend this host family... my new "chi-nadian" family from the bottom of my heart.~xiao Mike

The family was very wonderful to be integrated into. They went all their way to help me get used to the new environment for someone coming all the way from the tropical region. The house is very spacious and conducive. Bus to the University, and shopping places (i.e. West Ed and grocery) is very accessible (just in front of the house). Highly recommend this nice place to stay!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
