Welcome home to this custom designed, well-built, stunning lakefront home on spectacular McCabe Lake. Perfectly nestled around gorgeous landscaping & mature trees on an incredibly private 2.4 acre lot, this 4600 sq ft home features magnificent water views from almost every room. Over 420 feet of magnificent water frontage with sprawling lawns, boathouse, boat launch, newer decking & dock perfect for boating, swimming, waterskiing, & skating. About the Area
McCabe Lake is a beautiful and pristine lake situated between Highway 101 and Hammonds Plains Road. Spanning 2.5 kilometers and reaching depths of 15 meters, McCabe Lake is one of the largest freshwater, motorized boat friendly lakes in HRM. Perfect for swimming, canoeing and kayaking in the warmer months, and skating in the wintertime, McCabe Lake truly has something to offer.

House Rules
Welcome to the Lake House!
1. The house is on septic system meaning that anything else but toilet paper ( please do not use it in excess) is strictly prohibited to be discarded in the toilets.
2. First aid kit is in the pantry. Fire extinguisher is underneath the kitchen sink.
3. We provide trivets and coasters to prevent damages to the countertops and kitchen table as well as all house furniture. We respectfully ask our guests to use them at all times.
4. The backyard is shared with guests. We live on this property permanently and we'd like to be notified in advance when guests would like to be in the backyard.
5.Guests use the backyard, dock and deck, as well as our non-motorized watercraft at their own risk and under their own responsibility.
6. The main floor lighting system functions on light touch switch system.
7. Kitchen faucet- simply touch anywhere on the spout or handle with your wrist or forearm to start and stop the flow of water. Please turn off the water ( by switching the handle off) at the end of the day or when you leave the house.
8. The coffee maker has an washable filter and coffee and tea bags are available to guests. They can be found in the cupboard by the pantry. Coffee mugs are in the cupboard on the other side of the pantry.
9. Laundry detergent is in the laundry room. Detergent pods for dishwasher as well as dish detergent, dish cloths and other cleaning supplies for kitchen are underneath the kitchen sink.
10. Do not remove make-up using bath towels and do not take them when swimming in the lake. Make also sure the bed sheets are not left with stains when you check out. A $50 charge to your account will apply regardless the size of the stained item.
11. Kitchen utensils, dishes, glasses, frying pans and a big pot are in the kitchen drawers.
12. The freezer in the laundry room is not shared with guests.
13. Food processor, electric mini stove, KitchenAid mixer & attachments, electric deep fryer are stored in the pantry. We ask guests to clean and put them back after each use.
14. Please do not use the self-cleaning feature of the stove. When cleaning the oven, please use heavy duty detergent that it's in the cupboard underneath the sink in the laundry room. In there guests can also find detergent for the stove top, as well as all other kinds of general cleaning supplies.
15. All bedrooms and living room have rokus. Instructions on how to use them will be provided upon arrival.
16. Please turn all the lights off when you are not home and make sure the stove is turned off.
17. Please use blue bags for recyclables and clear bags for garbage. Blue and clear bags are in the pantry. Garbage bin is outside by big trailer.
18. The top of the hot tub is heavy and it is a 2 people job to fold it in two and then slide it to the back and put it on the rest behind it. The top of the hot tub needs to be on when not in use. No food in the hot tub. Please ask for assistance if you need it.
19. Please close the umbrella on the deck when not in use or if it is too windy. The deck cushions can be stored in the 2 black storage boxes on the deck.
20. Please make sure that all the bbq burners are off after each use. If required, host provides assistance with ignition process.
21. Guests do not have access to garden shed and to the club house by the lake ( this is the place our dogs sleep at night- please do not go inside).
22. Please put the fire out if you use the fire pit and remove the garbage.
23. We provide slippers for our guests to wear inside the house.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
