Hostal Restaurante El Ranchón is the ideal destination for travelers who wish to visit the city of Trinidad, be close to the best places in the village and live with a Cuban family. You can also try the delicious and abundant delicacies prepared by Ovady the host at his restaurant at half the price that is quoted for meals in the rest of the houses and restaurants in the city and with equal or better quality. For the rent the family has prepared 3 spacious air-conditioned rooms on the first level, one with capacity for 3 people and the other with capacity for 10 people. The bathrooms are inside each room, they always have hot and cold water service. Everything necessary for personal hygiene such as soap, shampoo, towels and toilet paper is guaranteed.
The house has an extensive patio converted into a restaurant. This has several tables so it is ideal to celebrate family birthday or invite friends to coincide in the city. The clients enjoy in this place the gastronomic offerings that Ovady offers in a friendly atmosphere that will make you feel like one of the house. They also have a roofed ranchón that gives its name to the house and simulates a typical construction of the Cuban fields. Reserve in this house and try the exquisite food that Ovady cooks.

Ovadys and Yanet received us with a treat. That was the beginning of a most enjoyable stay.
The rooms for rental are outside, independent of the family house. They are also beside Ovadys restaurant where you can have a delicious meal freshly prepared by Ovadys right in front of you! Or something to drink before going for the night in Trinidad. The breakfast is also very tasty and plenty.
The walk to the touristic part of Trinidad is about 10min. Trinidad is a lovely little town, pretty and happy with a busy night easy to enjoy.
There are some beaches nearby and few waterfalls. We went for the Salto de Cabruni. Stunning!!! But be prepared for a long arduous path to get there, and back. Thanks for having us.April 2017

We enjoyed the stay at Ovadys very much. Ovadys and his family were very welcoming and helped us with all problems. The two rooms are small but cozy. Highly recommended is the restaurant of Ovadys, you can eat there every day good and cheap. The accommodation is centrally located and all major sights and the old town are within easy walking distance.

This was a great place to stay. Ovadys and his family were excellent hosts. The guest rooms are self-contained, and there's a lovely courtyard which you can relax in as well. The highlight was the attached restaurant - Ovadys is a fantastic cook and the seafood was delicious.

Good stay at Ovadys'. The place is few minutes from center of the city. It is also possible to eat onsite. The host is really willing to help you having a good experience.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
