The House of Astrid has a spell that many can not decipher. And it remains with more vehemence in the memory.
On the outskirts of Havana, just three minutes from the José Martí Airport and 20 from the city center and the beach, Fontanar rises a dream hostel called La Casa de Astrid, where good taste is combined, the cleanliness and the natural order, premise of setting of feng shui, millennial Chinese technique that governs Astrid, the owner of this hostel, to create all its visitors a favorable and relaxed environment in harmony with nature.
The hostel has been thought and felt to serve as a rest and relaxation. An energizing quartz volcanic stone becomes the owner of the central patio. Silence and relaxation are fascinating in every corner. The immense verdure of its landscape, the plants, its organic garden, the birds of different species that inhabit there, all are united for the dialogue with nature. Here we come to enjoy the silence and music of the Earth; connect with the spirit of the energetic stones that exist in each square of the place; flowing positive energies freely, creating a harmonious environment.
The hostel consists of three houses within the same property, built using natural elements such as wood, mud and cosmic stones; each house is independent of the others and has three rooms and four bathrooms; In addition to living room, dining room, kitchen, terraces and parking. All the houses are heated from the living room to the last room and comfortably equipped.
All the construction materials are of traditional use and have an optimal behavior from the point of view of bioconstruction, being respectful with the environment.
The arrangement of the windows allows the best natural light in all seasons and balconies call the natural landscape surrounding the installation. The interiors maintain their own style, moving between the old-modern design and the spirit of feng shui, ideal to enjoy such a peaceful environment.
All the staff is very friendly and is always attentive to offer a service of excellence but with love. If you have ever stayed here, you will know what I mean: that personalized service that makes you feel very important, as you always are at La Casa de Astrid.

We will share our house with you, though your privacy will not be affected. We will also include a breakfast every morning of your stay in our hostal as a Homestay petition. We are here to please you and your happiness in Cuba is our priority.

La casa de Astrid is a wonderful place. The rooms are clean and spacious, there are beautiful terraces, a nice garden to relax and the service of this family and rest of the staff is great! They did everything to make our stay perfect The airport is only 5 minutes drive. We stayed here only 2 nights, but we definitely would come back here a next time.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
