As a frequent visitor to Havana and casa particulares, I had a surprisingly good visit at Casa Ely in Centro Havana. The street she lives on, St. Lazaro, is a busy thoroughfare in Centro Habana that I have visited several times riding in the old machina taxis across the city. I confess that I never would have thought to stay in one of the casas in the area had I not located Elisabet on homeaway. The casa I usually visit was occupied during the first few days of my trip, so I wrote to Elisabet and introduced myself. She responded promptly that the room I inquired about was available. The room was exactly as described and pictured on the site. Again, given the busy area, I was surprised that the room was large enough to fit a full bed for me, and a twin for my teenaged daughter who traveled with me. The bathroom was very nice with a good hot shower. We requested breakfast in the morning, which was not included in the price ($5/person/day), but got us off to a good start before wandering our way through our old hangouts in Central and Old Havana. Again, the house is very centrally located to several landmarks on that side of town, with taxis regularly running in each direction to take you elsewhere in the city. You are sure to have a good visit if you book with Elisabet – she and her family are very friendly and hospitable.

Elizabet and her family were very kind and welcoming. Her casa is very well located next to the Malecon. A delicious breakfast was served every morning

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
