To visit Trinidad and not to arrive at the Hostel "Dafne la Ninfa", is to miss the opportunity to know the history of love behind the name of this guest house. The warm welcome of a very cheerful and dynamic Cuban family will make you spend a pleasant stay in the third Cuban colonial villa.
Of course, all these attentions are motivated by the origin of this hostel. It was the love of the family that was responsible for his name, for that family business extends for generations. From Ana Gloria, the hostess, to Dr. Marielkys and our eight-year-old daughter Dafne, who inspires her grandmother every day.
The history of the birth of this guesthouse dates back to Greek mythology. Daphne was the name of a nymph, the tree nymph. His story with Apollo, full of fantasy, love and disdain, made it finally become laurel, a tree that from that moment became sacred to Apollo and thus crowns the victors.
Also this name inspires us to name our daughter Dafne Andrea, with the dream of growing up surrounded by different people, of all nationalities, who knows their cultures, is related to the different languages and finally is a great winner.
Just as the Greeks were inspired by Daphne, the nymph, this hostel is inspired by the love story that was born of her. In a cozy atmosphere your stay will be as pleasant as possible, with good comfort, in a familiar and homey atmosphere so that you know the Cubans and feel at home.

The "Dafne la Ninfa" Hostel is designed so that you and your family have the most privacy and comfort. For this reason it offers two single rooms. Both rooms are cleaned daily.

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
