Even in the low season, Migue & Tere's Guesthouse continues to receive guests. Other businesses are wondering what's special about this place.The house does not impress at first sight and is modest as its inhabitants.Seeing the front, it is very easy to get the wrong image. It is clean, well painted, sure, but not as impressive as the other covers of Trinidad. However, inside the house live real Cubans, those born in poor cot and of those who thrive on ingenuity and sacrifice without forgetting where they came from. Cubans who maintain their naturalness and simplicity although some coffers grow.
But the house is bigger than it looks from the outside. There are 3 rooms for rent, the room next to the kitchen to see how they prepare food and a cool ranchón with thatched roof at the back of the house.
When you come to Trinidad, take the street that starts in front of the bus station and walk three blocks to 99th Street Independence. You will be getting to know the neighborhood The Canyon (Canyon), one of the oldest in Trinidad. You will come to the home of Migue and Tere, where you will feel confident.

About the Area
Migue & Tere's Guesthouse is located in La Barranca, the actual Cuban neighborhood of Trinidad. This is not the typical street of remodeled facades to impress tourists. This is not about being perfect to cause good impressions. You will see with your own eyes the old photos of old men sitting on the threshold of old houses unrepaired; perhaps you see a wandering dog and children playing in the street. You will see the store where regulated products are on shelves neglect, where Cubans receive a monthly fee of food. This is where the real Cubans live.
Remember, you must take Independencia Street, also known as Nueva, which rises in front of the bus station. Walk to the fourth block and see the house labeled 99 in the left lane. Knock on the door and if you do not attend, knock harder, do not be shy. Possibly Migue and Tere are in the back of the house and therefore do not listen to you knocking. Be yourself since you get, without formalities. Feel yourself among friends.

The rooms are too small the supply of hot water is unstable.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
