I confess when we signed up for our first ever homestay with Maureen, the hostess in Montreal, I was a bit afraid. After all, "Life is like a box of chocolates. . . you never know what your going to get." But let me just say, we found the creme de la creme! Maureen was a wonderful hostess. She offers a very clean apartment in an excellent location--close to the bus lines and the subway. You share a bathroom and kitchen with other guests, but we did not find this in any way uncomfortable. Her other guests were thoughtful and considerate of each other. We felt safe on the street and in the apartment as well. Maureen is a very loving and helpful person. She offers ideas of places to visit and gives good directions on how to get there; she gives privacy, but is available. Any question I asked her prior to the stay was answered promptly and accurately. I found her to be very honest and simply a jewel! Would I recommend this homestay? Absolutely!
