I and my partner live in our own house in the east end of Toronto and we love hosting people from all over the world.
Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood, 10-12 min walk (or 2 bus stops) to Woodbine subway station, less than 30 min to downtown by public transit, and steps away from a big ravine park.
We are 30 min away from ILAC and Access, 38min from LSI, and 40 min from Kaplan language schools.
We host 3 people at our house at all times - mostly international students and young professionals. Our guests have access to a full guest kitchen (with dishes, pots, pans, coffee makers and everything you need for cooking), living/dining area and a shower. Everyone gets their own space in the fridge, a kitchen cabinet and a space in the bathroom to store their stuff. A professional cleaner comes once a week to clean common areas.
I'm graphic designer and illustrator, Jordan is an IT guy, both working from home (but you won't see us much unless you need us).
We love traveling, photography, people, and authentic conversations. Apart and together we've traveled to China, Japan, Thailand, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, France, Belgium, the UK, Holland, Spain, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Canada, the US, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Argentina.
Originally from Russia, I moved to Canada as an international student 12 years ago, now happy to host a new generation of foreign students myself!
Jordan hosted over 60 couch-surfers in his previous apartment!
Please note that we require our guests to pay 25% of the booking total to us in advance of the booking to hold your room (on top of the 15% service fee paid to Homestay.com). We accept Paypal, Wise or direct deposits.
Check-out time: 11 AM (yes, you can leave your luggage till the evening if necessary)
Check-in: after 3 PM (if you arrive earlier - let us know, we may be able to check you in before if the room is free)

Payment Method

Cancellation Policy
We ask our guests to give us at least 7 days’ notice for any cancellation. Any cancellation later than this will not be refunded.
Entry
- Do not block the driveway at any time. We are sharing a driveway with the neighbour and if there are any cars, bikes or bicycles it prevents them from getting out. If you need to unload - please let us know in advance.
- Take off your shoes when you enter the house.
Common areas
- Keep the common areas clean.
- Don’t leave any unwashed dishes or food in the kitchen or common areas.
- Do not leave clothes in washer, dryer or laundry room.
- Separate garbage from compost and recycling.
- Because the kitchen is shared with other guests we ask not to cook highly aromatic foods (e.g. fried fish, seafood, curries).
- As a courtesy to other guests, please limit your time in the shower to 30 min. Pick up hair after yourself, including the floor and hair catcher in the bathtub, don’t flush it down the drain.
- A professional cleaner comes once a week to clean the common areas but you are responsible for the cleanliness of your room.
Quiet time
- Quiet time is between 11pm and 9am on week days and 1am and 10:00am on Friday/Saturday or Holidays. During quiet time there should be no music, loud conversation or other noise that may disturb the other occupants of the house.
- No cooking is allowed after 11pm.
Storage
- Please only use only fridge space and kitchen/bathroom storage assigned to you. You may not leave your personal belongings in the common areas except for in designated storage areas. If you need more space, please talk to the hosts first.
Fire safety
- No smoking of any substance including vape or e-cigarettes in the house.
If you smoke outside, you must use the ash tray provided
- No candles, incense or any other source of combustion.
Security
- The outside doors must remain locked at all times.
- The room is equipped with a lock, and the premises will remain locked at all times. The host is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged personal items.
- No guests are allowed.
- Host is allowed to enter the room only with permission or in case of emergency.
COVID rules:
If you plan to quarantine here - please bring it to our attention before booking.

I had a wonderful time staying with Kat and Jordan. They were easy going and very accommodating. I stayed for a month and made some really great friends there. The house is beautiful and very clean. I would highly recommend!

Both Kat and Jordan are kind, accommodating and attentive. The house is nicely tucked in a quiet neighborhood. My room is great, modern and true to the ad. Highly recommended!

Contactez l'hôte pour vérifier leur disponibilité et pour poser toutes questions que vous avez. Une fois que l'hôte aura confirmé leur disponibilité pour vos dates, vous pourrez confirmer votre réservation.
À quel moment dois-je payer?
Une fois que l'hôte a confirmé sa disponibilité, vous pouvez procéder au paiement des frais de réservation de 15% (maximum de 250 $£€ pour les réservations de longues durées) et un acompte de 25% en utilisant un choix de paiement: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB et PayPal (non disponible dans certains pays). Homestay.com recevra le paiement de l'acompte au nom de l'hôte pour se prémunir contre les annulations tardives (moins de 7 jours avant la date d'arrivée) ou les non-présentations. Vous paierez ensuite à votre hôte le montant du prix à votre arrivée. L'acompte de 25% sera versé à votre hôte 2 jours ouvrables après la date de début de la réservation. Le dépôt ne sera remboursable que si vous annulez la réservation plus de 7 jours avant la date d'arrivée de la réservation.
Quand puis-je partager mes coordonnées?
Les adresses email de l’hôte, de l’invité, les numéros de téléphone et l’adresse domicile seront échangés dans un email envoyé aux deux immédiatement dès qu’une réservation est confirmé. Sachez que, selon nos termes et conditions, ce n'est pas permis que les Invités et les Hôtes échangent leurs coordonnées sur notre système messagerie avant qu'une réservation soit confirmé.
