We are renting a pair of studios in the area of Karteros. We are living in another house just around the corner of the olive grove (on the other end of the property), we have a garden that we like to take care and we have extend it to your side, so you can have some fresh vegetables and plenty of flowers, we like (love actually) pets, so it is quite OK if you want to bring your lovely pet with you on vacations, we have on our side a dog, called Maria and a a couple of cats.
we want you to try also the oil that the olives of the grove are producing, so we take care that your fully equipped kitchen on the studio is stuffed with organic oil from our olives and Raki that we produce too.

About the Area
We are located in Mesa Karteros, a suburb of Heraklion, towards the village of Prassas. It is a great location, as it is very close to the sea (sandy beach) a 2 min. drive or a stroll of 20 minutes of relaxed walking from the studio to the sea. Also we have a marvellous mountain view, the Karteros gorge is nearby, if you like that kind of activity. There are shops that you can buy food, cigarettes, newspapers, magazines, snacks around. The exits of the national road are close if you want to go out on excursion. The center of Heraklion is only 10 minutes drive.

Alex and his beautiful in every respect wife Mara were the perfect hosts. Meeting us on arrival, guiding our taxi driver (the address system in Crete is unusual .... :) ) and purchasing our 'personal' list of requests prior to arrival. We loved Alex's passion and sharing of knowledge and wisdoms of things old and new about Crete. We learned so much from our conversations - we are still talking about them! We purchased the book by Anthony Beever and followed up on the tips you gave us Alex. Aside from that you made us laugh, with your quick wit and humor! Your accommodation on the olive grove with its views of the sea and mountains provided us with the perfect sanctuary to start our Cretan explorations....we enjoyed walking the beaches nearby and visiting the old city of Heraklion for the tourist activities. The restaurant in the village had to be our most special moment and if you get the time please tell us the name so we can share it on Facebook...I hope to return to Crete - I left some of my heart there! How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
