What do I need technically to use video call?

  1. Good internet connection is important for video calls. Try to ensure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal before calling. You could try a ‘wired’ connection by plugging your computer directly into the router.
  2. Make sure your microphone and camera are turned on and that your speakers (or headphones) are plugged into your computer if using them.
  3. When you make a call you'll be asked to 'Allow Homestay.com to use your camera and microphone for Video Calls.’ Click Allow or Enable.
  4. Our Video Call feature is supported by the following browsers only: Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer 9, 10, 11. Use the latest version of one of these for the best calling experience. (If you are a Safari user on a Mac it's best to download the latest version of Chrome as Safari does not support our Video Call feature)
