Buransh homestay is a beautiful residence nestled in the peaceful surrounding of unpoised wilderness. It is a family home offering three rooms (with ensuite bathrooms) to the guests in a small himalayan village of Kawalag, 15 kilometers from the Mall Road – the heart of historic Shimla town. It is an ideal abode for a relaxed vacation and suites those who enjoy meeting others from different cultures and love celebrating life in a native’s good way. All interesting places in Shimla town and surrounding areas are easily doable while staying at our homestay. For adventure enthusiasts, there are good options of outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, nature walks available. We have very good areas to practice outdoor yoga if someone is interested in doing it. To understand the local culture closely it's a great place to stay as you can meet and speak with local village people while going on for a village walk. All rooms have balconies which offers panoramic views of the valleys, village and the surrounding hills which gives great relaxation to a tired body. We also have a very comfortable common living room with good selection of books to read and a television enabled with channels of different interests. Delicious homely vegetarian food with local Himachali delicacy is served which is prepared by the lady of the house with great love. Unlike hotels, bed and breakfast establishments, guest houses this is a typical homestay where host family also live in the same premises.
We are the host of this homestay who live here. I am Verinder and wife is Monika, a home maker. We have a child of 08 years old, Vishvesh. We live here with with our parents. My father is a retired from Government service and mother is a home maker. I work in tourism industry since 2005. We love to interact with people from different places and would love to host them at our homestay.

About the Area
Our home is ideally located, merely 15 kms / 45 minutes drive time from Shimla city centre. Bus stop is from 10 minutes walking distance from our house. Timely buses ply to and from Shimla to our village.

House Rules
Smoking is strictly not permitted indoors. When smoking outside, extinguish the cigarette butt completely and dispose it off in the provided ashtray.
We do not serve alcohol in our house. Adult guests may carry their own alcoholic beverages and can consume sensibly in their rooms. Illegal drugs are NOT permitted.
Meals Timings: Breakfast – 0800 till 0930 hrs, Lunch – 1300 till 1430 hrs, Dinner – 1930 till 2130 hrs.
We do not provide any room service. Meals are served in a common dining space. Kindly do not carry food to your room.
After your bath, please hang towels outside on the railings or towel rack (not in your room/bathroom). They will dry quicker and will not smell of moisture.
Please do not dump waste, papers or anything else which may cause the toilet or water drainage to clog.
During local sightseeing and village visit, please respect local culture, wear modest clothes and do not pluck flowers, fruits or vegetables without permission.
Do not let your children wander unattended. You’ll be living in a village amid cultivated fields, please be sure to look where you’re walking and consult us to know where you can stroll.
We won’t mind you playing light music but please try to do this before 10 pm at night. Always try and maintain the noise level at a point where it doesn’t upset other guests, host and the villagers.
Please respect our home but feel comfortable. Treat it as your own house for the duration of your stay. Causing any damage to property will lead to eviction from the house.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
