Hello - we are Aisling and Ben and we have a spacious double room available for guests. We love to host short to medium-term guests in our home. This redbrick terrace house is in a quiet neighbourhood in Drimnagh, Dublin 12. It’s within 3 minutes walk to the Blackhorse Luas/tram station (25 minutes to Dublin city centre on the Red line). It’s also within walking distance to Inchicore village and Kilmainham where you'll find historical museums such as IMMA (modern art museum). There are also plenty of bus routes to the city centre, within 5 minute walking distance.
Our house is modern, bright and cosy. It has an open-plan living-room and kitchen. Guests can prepare and eat food in our kitchen. You can share our fridge and cupboards for food storage. The available bedroom is a spacious, south-facing room with a double bed. There is a wardrobe as well as a large shelving unit. There is also a neat study desk that's ideal for a laptop.
Guests are very welcome to share the television and lounge space with us. We also have a converted attic space which is great for chilling out or listening to music.
We are looking for guests who are independent and do their own thing. We're also around to chat and get to know you! We sometimes eat at the same time as guests or watch TV together. Other people prefer their own privacy. We totally respect this. You can come and go as you please and will have your own set of keys. We ask that you are quiet if returning late.
Fast unlimited broadband is included in the rent. All of your additional house bills are also included. There is off-street parking if you require it.
About us!
We are both into travel, enjoy outdoor life and yoga. We are open to all cultures and have travelled widely, from Portugal to Iran! We like to connect with new people and get a true sense of the places we visit. Our house is a place to chill out or occasionally have a couple of friends over for dinner or to watch a movie. It’s not a party house. We're looking for people who are respectful and easygoing. We have a friendly cat called Samson too!

Fast, unlimited broadband - WIFI and fixed network
Power shower
Off-street parking
TV set in shared living room, with Chromecast device for casting from laptop or mobile devices

My 3-month stay with Ben and Aisling was absolutely amazing! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed into their cozy home with open arms. Their genuine hospitality made me feel like part of the family right away.
The highlight of my days was getting cozy with a good book in the attic and cuddling with the neighbour's cat who would sometimes drop by for a visit. Ben and Aisling also had a great knack for knowing when I needed quiet time to focus on work or study, yet they were also always there for a chat (which would often turn into deep, philosophical conversations about life).
Their home became my sanctuary in Dublin - a place where I felt safe, comfortable, and always had a great time. I can't recommend staying with them highly enough. If you're looking for more than just a place to stay, but a true Irish home-away-from-home, this is it. Thank you, Ben and Aisling, for making my time in Dublin so special!

It was my first accommodation in Dublin, and I'm sure it's the best!
Aisling and Ben are very generous and welcoming. I felt at home during the stay. They respected my routine and helped me a lot to stay comfortable. We sometimes watched movies and documentaries together, which was one of the most lovely memories I had in Dublin.
The house is very cozy, clean, and wonderful. It has a great location, so it was easy to get to the city centre. I'm so glad that I could stay in this house.
A month has passed so quickly. I loved every moment I had here. It was lovely to meet Aisling, Ben, and Samson :)Host reply

I really enjoyed spending two months with Aisling and Ben. It was my first study trip on my own and I was warmly welcomed by the whole family. Even Samson (their sweet cat) adopted me by cuddling me during the times we shared in front of the television or in the morning during my breakfasts :)
Ben and Aisling are very open-minded, generous and respectful people. I loved talking to them and getting to know them during all those wonderful moments of sharing! Their joie de vivre and their simple life, full of great activities (hiking, travelling, reading, watching television, listening to music in the converted attic, cooking tasty meals, yoga or sunbathing in the garden) won me over!
The house is really pleasant to live in, bright and comfortable. You feel right at home! A big, comfortable bed, a desk, lots of storage space everywhere! (Bathroom, kitchen and bedroom) The house is close to the city centre by tram or bus and even just an hour's walk away for those who like walking :)
Thanks again to Aisling and Ben, who put their trust in me and are really good people!Host reply

Thank you, Aisling and Ben, for this wonderful time! After only a few days I already felt like home. We shared some nice moments hiking, cooking, watching movies/ documentaries, and practicing yoga, and we could talk about a lot of things. I still don't know if Samson actually liked me or if it was just the blanket, but anyways, your cat is super friendly and always up for some cuddles. Thank you also for the great support during the beginning of the Corona pandemic and for making sure to accomodate me working from home and having to leave earlier than planned. I hope we stay in touch!
