EPZ e Yukari

Let me start this review by saying, that this was the best time I ever had in Tokyo ( I stayed with two other homestay families before). I stayed with Epz, Yukari and Livia for 3 months, that went by way too fast.

Location:
The apartment is located in Fuchu, and you can take the bus (just a 3 minute walk from the building) to Fuchu Station and from there conveniently get to Shinjuku Station. It might not be the most central of places, but the area is just lovely! There are parks, supermarkets, restaurants and everything you need nearby. You can use the bikes that Epz and Yukari offer, which is also very kind of them. For me, it was a welcome change to the busy atmosphere of Shinjuku, where I went to school everyday.

Apartment and the room:
My room and the rest of the apartment were super clean and cozy when I arrived and this did not change during the entire time that I was staying there. I slept on a futon that was super comfy. As the apartment is located on the 15th floor, the view is just stunning. I could always use the kitchen, put everything I wanted into the fridge and use the shower at any time (even if it's super late).

The Family:
Epz, Yukari and Livia are the sweetest, most kindest little family! Very openminded and accommodating, which made me feel at home immediately. So I'm very confident when I say, that you will love living together with them. Epz is super fun and helpful, he speaks English, so if you have any problems you can always ask him! Yukari speaks Japanese, but she understands a lot of English. She is such a nice and lovely person, who always helped me with my Japanese and cared so much about my wellbeing. If you do speak Japanese, even just a little bit, you will have great conversations with her!
Lastly, Livia is an angel, so I strongly encourage you to choose this homestay if you love kids! She is so smart and cute, I loved playing with her everyday! And you can speak very easy Japanese with her, if you want to train your speaking abilities ;-)

To sum up, if you want a homestay experience that is very different from the usual ones that are offered in Japan, choose this one. They will go out of their way to help you with everything you need and more. I have so many fun memories, going on picnics, hiking, bowling and watching dramas with Yukari. I will forever cherish them. Hopefully I will see you guys soon, I miss you!
