Baldo’s House was the old mill of the village of Corsagna, dating back to XIX century restored with care and love from Baldo grandson of Michele and Pia. This lovely home still features its original structure of a time with a large kitchen and living area, enriched by the typical fireplace, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The floors are tiled in the living area, wood in the bedrooms and grit in the two bathrooms and stone walls. Furnished with typical pieces of furniture of the Lucchese tradition, conjugating the heat of the ancient country house to the modern comfort.
The house has a large private garden, with views on the valleys, crossed by a creek (ideally for children) and a large outdoor patio, opposite the main entrance, which is accessed from the entrance gate. The house is reachable by walk in only 5 minutes from the private parking place. Free internet WIFI connection.
INSIDE
The house is developed on three floors levels with a large view on the green hills which surrounding the village.
On the ground floor is the main entrance from which through 2 staircases leads to the two sleeping areas. On the middle floor is a large living area with comfortable sofas and a wood burning fireplace and a large kitchen from which you can have access, from a secondary door, to the terrace and garden area where you can dine in the cool summer evenings enlivened by the flow of Gora’s music and the scenery of the picturesque village of Corsagna with its church, illuminated by the lights of its streets. A wooden staircase leads upstairs where there is a bedroom with 3 single beds, GINA. Another wooden staircase leads to the lower floor where there are two bathrooms (one with shower and one with shower and bathtub) and the other two double bedrooms: IRENE and MICHE and PIA, in this last is possible to add an extra single bed. About the Area
My house rises on a wonderful naturalistic area in Tuscany: the Garfagnana valley between the Alpi Apuane and the Apennine Tosco-Emiliano.
The wonderful landscape, studded with small towns, churches and forts will characterise your trips during a fascinating travel to discover the local culture and natural environments.
It is an ideal spot for those looking for a peaceful break, with good local shops, food and wine, walks in the woods and magnificent views.
The Village of Corsagna, municipality of Borgo a Mozzano, is in a wonderful position if you want to visit the main cities of art in Tuscany and the coast: the town of Lucca is reachable in only 30 minutes and the Versilia Coast in 50 minutes as well as the Abetone, the most important sky resort of the area.
In Corsagna, in addition to food and household goods stores, you can find the historic family restaurant Branduzzi known for its tortelli and its wood-fired pizzas.
The house also offers a highly professional service of personal well-being through close collaboration with the Terme of Bagni di Lucca.
Easy to reach are Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Bagni di Lucca, Garfagnana National Park, Viareggio (seaside), Torre del Lago (Puccini festival), Abetone (ski resort) and the stunning Cinque Terre ports.
