My wife and I, now with a newborn baby, would like to welcome foreign guests who are interested in studying Japanese and its culture.
We have so far accepted more than 70 guests in the last 3 years and we enjoy interacting with foreign guests. We can introduce good language schools as well as Karate dojo.
Our house is located in the southern part of Osaka and 10 mins to Tennoji.
It is very convenient for sight-seeing because we are in the middle of Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, KIX airport, all places in roughly 1 hour travel.
There are 2 supermarkets, 1 convenient store, 2 drug stores nearby and a few places to eat out.
If you are interested, please send us message and ask any question, we will try to respond within a day.

About the Area
Our house is located less than 5 mins walk from the nearest station on the Kintetsu line. From the station, it is only 10 mins to go to Tennoji.
Tennoji is south part of Osaka and is a very convenient place for sight-seeing.
We are right in the middle of Kansai Air Port/Kyoto/Nara/Kobe so I would say it is the best place for those who travel.

Shunji and Sayo are really nice and welcoming ! They made me feel at home The food was good, I had a good time during diner time with everyone. I really enjoyed these moments with the family. It was a really good experience and I will not hesitate to contact them if I go to Japan in the future !!

I have had several homestay experiences in various different countries over the years. This one was by far the most professional. The room was very clean and the house was conveniently located in a quaint little neighborhood not far from the city center. The house rules were explained clearly upon arrival so that there would be no misunderstandings.
Shunji and Saryo are great hosts. They are friendly, gracious, and were more then willing to help a newbie like myself begin to understand the richness of Japanese culture and language. I highly recommend this experience for people who are visiting Japan and would like a more interesting experience then simply staying in a hotel. Although my stay was very short, I will never forget it. Domo Arigato Goziamashita!

The family was wonderful, helpful and very kind but the 3 levels of accommodations made it somewhat difficult to communicate with anyone, including the family. For a young person who is traveling to Japan and who has school or activities outside the home, it will work but If you're looking for a chance to communicate with a Japanese family or individuals, I found it to not be the ideal solution.

The stay was very enjoyable. I've put only four stars for location because it was on an inconvenient line for us BUT the house is at five minutes max by foot from the station and the station itself is fifteen minutes away from a very convenient station. The real reason was that it wasn't a jr line or even a subway line.
Other than that it was perfect. The good dose of privacy and sharing. A very lovely couple, always smiling, helping and very open.
I recommend one hundred percent.April 2013

thanks family Tanaka shunji and sayo
