I stayed with Rieko and Kunio for 5 weeks in February and March and had an amazing time!! Rieko and Kunio are extremely helpful when it comes to settling in to Tokyo. They are also very helpful when it comes to helping with Japanese language!! I am very excited to see Rieko and Kunio again soon in Japan! PS: sorry for drinking so much
I learned more about Japanese way of living. Most outstandingly how they keep their home organized, everything in place. REIKO AND KUNIO were always available if we have questions or needed help. We had a very good dinner time together at a shabu shabu restaurant and taught us how it is properly done and eaten the Japanese way. The only regret was we did not have enough time to do with them some special events they offered to do with us. I hope we can do it in the future.
I arrived in November at Rieko and Kunios house and stayed there for three months.
They feel like my family now and helped me a lot with my projects.
I enjoyed my stay because of their kindness, active life and how funny both can be.
I am looking forward to see them again in my hometown and in Nerima.
We had a very pleasant stay thanks to Rieko and Kunio who are really nice persons. Every morning we had breakfast with them and we have appreciated talking with them. They gave us advice about visiting Tokyo and helped us several times when we needed.
We cooked with them one evening, that was a very good dinner. We also wore kimonos and made photos.
We loved their traditional house and sleeping on futon.
If we go to Japan another time, we would like to see them again.
We highly recommend staying at Rieko and Kunio's house.
Reiko and Kunio are so welcoming and very accommodating. They do everything they can to help you enjoy your time in Tokyo and they always had suggestions for me when I had a question. If I ever make it back to Tokyo I'd definitely love to stay with them again!
I had a very good stay at Rieko and Kunio's home. They were wery kind and welcoming. Lovely persons. I felt at home. It was the best choice to make to stay with them. They made delicious breakfast everyday and we enjoyed a takoyaki party one evening and a delicious dinner for my last night. I enjoyed talking and watching TV with them and the other guests. Thank you si much, and I hope to see you again some day.
Rieko and Kunio made our stay memorable. We felt warmly welcome in Japan. The room was clean, spacious and comfy, the meals were delicious, but the best thing was the time spending chatting together. They helped us with any question and were so fun talking with. When we left, we felt like we had a real home in Tokyo. Thank you so much!
This guest awarded the host 5 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
Had an absolutely wonderful time with Rieko San and Kunio San, my only regret was not staying for a longer time!
As someone who is learning Japanese it was great to have conversations in Japanese daily and find out all sorts of stuff about Japan from a local perspective. They're really friendly and great people to spend time with. Their English is also very good in case communication concerns you.
Would recommend spending a couple of weeks with them at least so you'll have time to cook meals together and go to the onsen. Can't wait to spend time with them again :)
Our Homestay experience was Great!
Our room had a traditional design, looked great and was clean just like the rest of the house. Rieko and Kunio were super friendly, they speak English very well and it was a lot of fun to talk to them. The breakfast was always very tasty and the Dinner was delicious as well! On the last day, they took us to an Onsen in Nermina which was a great experience. Overall the Homestay was awesome, we had a great time with Rieko and Kunio and can recommend them to everybody wanting to stay in the Area. We hope to meet them again sometime.
