Hi, this is Yumi. I live with my partner Taka in Setagaya City, Tokyo. About 3-4 mins one way from Station on foot. 13 mins for Shinjuku,20 mins for Shibuya, and Kichijoji by train. You can use shared kitchen only for guests. There are two twin rooms and one double bedded room. I and Taka live downstairs. I look after guests. I don't stay upstairs all day but you can contact me anytime. You can use shared living dining kitchen, bath with shower and toilet for guests. I have some pet downstairs like chickens, lovebirds, 3 fish. They don’t go upstairs. Taka is a bit shy, but we want to help you anytime. Hope you can enjoy your stay in Tokyo.

About the Area
Our house is one way 3-4 mins walk from the station. Very safe residential area. About 13mins to Shinjuku by train. 20-25 mins to Shibuya and Kichijoji. There are some shops, casual restaurants, fast food shops, post office, ATM, doctors, etc, near station. Hope to hear from you.

House Rules
No smoking. Room 1&3 are two bedded. Basically for 2 people or a couple.
Room 2 is basically a double bedded for 1 person. Occasionally two people accepted.
After using kitchen, clean properly please. Bath & Shower are the same. If you stay more than one week, I Will clean your room and on Thursday I will wash your clothes. Laundry box in your closet. No Pet can stay.
No noise like loud music, singing, exercise, shouting after 22:00.
From 22:00 to 9:00 please pay attention to other guests.
Important: In case you lost house key, you will be required to
pay 30,000 yen as we must change all other keys.

We occupied two of Yumi's three rooms and had an awesome time there! The flat is quite big with a nice kitchen and living room that is shared. Everything was very clean and tidy, and the beds were very cosy and nice for our jetlags. If I ever go back to Japan I will definetely visit again!

We had the pleasure of staying with Yumi during our time in Tokyo, and she truly was a remarkable host. Yumi was fantastic! She paid incredible attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect. She provided us with plenty of helpful tips on what to see and do in the city, making our experience even more memorable. We had a really lovely, but too short, stay in Yumi’s beautiful, modern and very comfortable home. Located in a peaceful suburb with excellent connection into Centre of Tokyo. Yumi was very welcoming and chatted with us giving us very useful tips and answering our questions. Would highly recommend this homestay and hope we can return one day. Ate out once at a very good sushi restaurant locally and enjoyed breakfast provided by Yumi (help yourself basis). Thanks again for a very enjoyable experience.

The only thing I regret about this stay is not staying longer and I really wish I could just as easily cancel my flight and extend my stay. As my first ever homestay I am so grateful of having such a wonderful and amazing host as my first. I really can't wait to be back and definitely would want her to host me again in the future.

I enjoyed my stay with Yumi. She was very accommodating and nice. She takes good care of the place and keeps it clean. The location is a short walk from the station and various restaurants and convenience stores.

It was awesome to stay at Yumi’s in Satagaya for a week. We could spare only one evening to go out together as we worked European office hours but Yumi’s company was priceless. She’s kind, honest and speaks perfect English - what else could you expect from a host as a gaijin? Our room (no.1) was fantastic, shared space convenient and functional. The other 2 rooms saw guests coming and going as the Bell House is open to bookings on other platforms. We’d gladly come back as Yumi’s guests

The homestay at Yumi's was beyond amazing. The room was very spacious and super comfortable. The house itself was very modern, if it weren't for our trip to Hokkaido, we almost didn't want to leave. Yumi herself is really helpful and friendly. She gave us very good recommendations for things to do in Japan and was very accommodating at every step of the way. The complimentary drinks were a plus too. I could not recommend this place enough!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
