Spent 5 months with Saviour and Bernice, and it was just like moving into a home away from home. They are kind, loving and funny people with a great sense of humour. Their house is beautiful and so is their little girl Ellie, who listens to a lot of nursery rhymes throughout the day; so be prepared to have them stuck in your head ;) They are a very social family and will always make sure to let you know about their plans ahead of time. Both Saviour and Bernice can cook some fantastic meals, and it was always something different. If you stay, make sure to ask Bernice to make spaghetti bolognese and Saviour to make his cream sauce pasta!
I was always welcome to join in with their family dinners and that included full family meals too, with both of their parents, brothers, sisters and friends which was really nice as they all make fun of each other :) The overall experience was fantastic and I couldn't have asked for a better host family during my lengthy time in Malta, they were always willing to chat and have a laugh which made the whole experience so easy and relaxing. If you are looking to stay with a family that treats you like their second child and lets you work on your own schedule, then Saviour and Bernice are the perfect choice.
Thank you Saviour and Bernice for making my 5 months in Malta so easy an enjoyable!
