Osniel and his family were our hosts for our first nights in Cuba/Havana. He helped us a lot to get settled in Cuba and gave us great tips on what to consider (for example infos about prices for taxis, water and how to handle CUP and CUC). He also arranged the transport from the airport to his guest house in the middle of the night. We can only recommend this accommodation, especially as a start for a trip to Cuba. He has a lot of contacts to hosts in other cities with very good accommodation, which makes booking very easy.
Our room was clean and we had everything we needed. You can also buy water and internet tickets from him, which makes the start very easy.
At least: Osniel, thank you for all your help on the last days and your understanding that we had to return to Germany as soon as possible because of the airport closure. It is not a matter of course to have so much understanding and helpfulness towards others!
We wish the best for you and your family.Host reply

Osniel has been a wonderful host and helped us to make the most of our stay in Havana.
His place is located in Old Havana and very close to central streets.
Osniel gave us brief introduction about the city when we arrived and recommended great restaurants (those are all on his map). His place has wifi connection although you need to buy your own internet card . He also recommended to attend cabaret style show which turned out to be a great experience.

It was comfortable, welcoming, with good advice for a solo, female traveler - they pointed me in the right direction to find and enjoy their Havana, not just the tourist city. They gave me good information, told me about excellent, cheap, places to eat - so I could splash out on my last day, and made me feel very comfortable in their home, even got up at 4am to make sure I got my taxi for a 7am flight home - thank you, and, hopefully, we'll meet again.

Osniel and his family were amazing hosts. He helped us with everything, including arranging a taxi for us from the airport when we arrived. He explained everything about Cuba and gave us lots of useful tips. He also helped us find casas in other places which in return also turned out to be amazing. He really helped us have a great time in Cuba! We 100% can recommend him and we are very grateful that we could stay with his family. Thank you!
